Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels wants to review city rules regulating firearms on city-owned property, try to tighten those rules, and continue pushing for state legislation to strengthen gun laws,

They should hand them over to their nearest conservative neighbor for safe keeping.
Gee Mr Nickles it is working so well in places like England and Wash DC. Maybe you could go to them for advice?
Seattle’s Mayor “Quimby” is your typical liberal idiot. Washington State is a pre-emptive state. No city can enact any firearms laws that are more strict than state law. That doesn’t seem to bother him. He must have studied under Nutter in Philly.
WA ping
Does Seattle need (1) another layer of laws to control/suppress criminal use of firearms, or does it need (2) to enforce the laws already enacted?
What this wooden nickel is doing is using human lives too get his budget increased .......The more folks that die due gun violence the more sympathy votes and cash he gets due his GREAT leadership in time of crisis etc etc when some loon wades into a crowd of sheep and slaughters 2 or 3 dozen of em before a cop drops his doughnut and the bad guy.
Can’t have a mass killing on a public square if there are a bunch of armed good guys going about their daily tasks now can we.........:o)

These maps are from the article titled "Anti-gun Promo Blackfires"
I think perhaps it should have been entitled, "The African Americans are slaughtering each other in our US Cities"
Baltimore, PROPER, which is reflected on the map is 64.34% Black or African American, 31.63% White.

These Baltimore Sun maps show a terrible problem but do not clarify who the murderers are.

Baltimore Sun map of WHITES murdered, 2007: (12)
Of the 12, 6 were killed *downtown* while probably buying drugs. _______________________________________________________________
That's right a small percentage of people, generally gangs and drug dealers, in our large cities that cause the majority of the gun related homicides in the US. Do not allow this data to be covered up or hidden. Do not allow the gun control nutcases to take away your self defense weapons.

Greg Nickels has to be the worst mayor Seattle has ever had. Right, tell legal gun owners they can’t carry lets those that don’t care free access to murder ....
It is way ahead of booze violence, smoking violence, trans-fat violence and is rapidly encroaching on "refusing-to-be-geen" violence.
This has to stop.

“Greg Nickels has to be the worst mayor Seattle has ever had.”
No doubt in my mind. Paul Schell was naive, incompetent, and spineless. Nickels is just plain stupid.
At the end of the article it shows this is just that... Polishing Turds!
Executive orders, such as the one Nickels is expected to issue, typically don't apply to the general public. Rather, they direct the policies and actions of city employees, agencies and properties. For example, the mayor has issued orders requiring Seattle agencies to avoid buying bottled water and to provide job benefits to the same-sex partners of city workers.
As usual, the liberal solution is to infringe on lawful gun owners while doing nothing to deal with criminals.
Those three maps are powerful.
