Mexico Demands World Court Intercede in American Judicial System
DBKP ^ | June 7, 2008 | LBG

Mexico, who allows hundred of thousands of its citizens ("immigrants") to illegally cross over into the United States each year, has shown its "compassionate" side. The Mexican government has appealed to the World Court to "take urgent measures" to get the U.S. to stay all executions of Mexicans on Death Row in American jails.

Amazingly, President Bush had already agreed with the World Court back in 2004. The court, which resides at the Hague in the Netherlands, ruled that the trials of some 50 Mexicans on Death Row were in violation of the 1963 Vienna Convention.

It was then that Bush did something that was extraordinary for an American president: he not only deferred to a ruling by a World Court, but then issued an executive order to the state of Texas demanding that they review the case of a Mexican national on Death Row.

The World Court had ruled the Mexicans on Death Row had not had access to their country's consular officials; that the Death Row convictions must be overturned; and, each case reviewed. Bush then issued his own Executive Order based on the ruling of the World Court.

The matter was taken to the Supreme Court, which in a majority decision, struck down Bush's executive order and ruled that the Constitution "allows the President to execute the laws, not make them".

The Mexican government now asks the World Court to take "urgent measures" and intercede on behalf of the Mexican nationals on American Death Rows. The World Court, also known as the International Court of Justice, is under the aegis of the United Nations. We weren't sure just what "urgent" measures" the Mexican government was referring to, so we looked up the World Court at its website.

It's a tremendous loss of U.S. sovereignty to pay heed to the World Court's ruling, outside of the U.S. State Department.

Here’s the deal, Mexico. Don’t let your moronic criminals get into the US and we won’t execute them.

These felons committed murder on US soil. I hope the states have the guts to tell the Fed to go to hell if the POTUS tries to interfere again on behalf of the World Court. We MUST tell Euro bureaucrats that they may not rule the world.

Generally, when there are two countries that are neighbors, they are that way because the people of each don’t get along with the people of the other. Mexico has never been our friend, as revisionist globalist politicians like to tell us.

It is an interesting question if the US government or any State within the US can execute a non citizen rather than deport them to be executed punished?

The court, which resides at the Hague in the Netherlands, ruled that the trials of some 50 Mexicans on Death Row were in violation of the 1963 Vienna Convention.

Now, that I have a real problem with.

The World Court had ruled the Mexicans on Death Row had not had access to their country’s consular officials; that the Death Row convictions must be overturned; and, each case reviewed.

If they had access, the consular officials should have turned them over to be deported.

Circular BS logic the world court is using

I gotta agree with you. Mexico is a clear and present danger more than Iraq ever was.

Firstly, many non-citizens have been executed in the United States.

Secondly, foreign consular officials (diplomats) can only visit their jailed countrymen in prison and see how they're doing. If the consular officials believe the foreigner is being unfairly/poorly treated, he can bring it up with the prison officials or other authorities. He could even file a formal protest with the federal or state government.

What the consular official cannot do is just spring loose the perp.

The involvement or non-involvement of Mexican consular officers wouldn’t have made an ounce of difference in these killers’ cases. The (U.S.) Courts were right to rule how they did. Now these killers need to receive their punishments.

Firstly, many non-citizens have been executed in the United States.

I know, I just thought it was an interesting question, since the USA also gets involved in death sentence US citizens in other countries have been convicted of. Of course we don't go to the bogus world court to plead our case.

What the consular official cannot do is just spring loose the perp.

I know, my prior response was poorly worded.

If US doesn’t recognize World Court, then US isn’t subject to its dictates.

Mexican death rowers wanting more “rights” than American death rowers? No surprise there.

End electronic wire transfwers to Mexico. That will get their attention!

If a legal, US citizen were to do that, and happened to be working as a contractor, or a cash paying job, you can bet that the IRS would be looking closely at your for tax evasion, and the DHS and treasury dept for money laundering. But since these illegal aliens are already breaking the laws, one more crime isn't any big deal.

I remember reading somewhere that the 3rd largest economic source for Mexico, after oil production and illegal drugs is money sent into the country by illegal aliens working illegally in the US.

One foolproof way for a Mexican to avoid being executed in an American prison is to...STAY OUT OF THIS COUNTRY!

I think that I've read that their argument is that if they had been notified they would have hired the perp a lawyer thus,I assume, increasing his chances of beating the rap.
