Under the able leadership of Dr. Kass, surgeons at the Texas Childrens Hospital operated on the child while she was growing in her mothers womb. They successfully removed the tumor and Macie was allowed to continue in her first home to full term. She was born a healthy and beautiful child.
Her parents, devout Christians, openly acknowledged that they had prayer throughout this entire experience. They spoke of their little girl as having been born twice, referring to the first birth, when the little girl was partially removed in order for the surgeons to perform the lifesaving surgery and her final birth.
It was at that first birth, Macies father told the interviewer, that they gave her the middle name of Hope.
I was immediately struck with what should be obvious to all. Under the horrors of legal abortion, children like Macie are killed daily in America. Sadly, the very sonogram which helped to save Macies life is used by abortionists to guide them in their intentional killing.
However, I was deeply encouraged by the story. Macie Hope gave me hope. As we continue to be able to assist our youngest neighbors in the womb so that we can welcome them into our National family, it becomes increasingly obvious what abortion really is.
The humanity of the child in the womb is the strongest argument we have in our unstoppable efforts to secure the right to life for all children. I commend MSNBC for their fine coverage and encourage all who can to watch the story and tell everyone you can about Macie Hope McCartney.

That is so wonderful.
Huh? How can you operate on an undefined, amorphous tissue mass? This totally contradicts the magic vagina theory of human development I was taught. Did they push the tissue mass through an artificial magic vagina to turn the blob into a baby for the operation and then back through the artificial magic vagina to turn it into a doughy mass after the operation?
I am so confused and my faith in Planned Parenthood’s objective and factual information about human development is shaken.
That is a good story to share, thanks for sharing it!
How wonderful
Welcome little Macie hope...

A wonderful story. I think I’ve heard of Dr. Kass before, somewhere—a good man.
Very, very true.

LAREDO, Texas, June 10, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Medical pre-natal miracles continue to abound as technology develops, but the latest miracle has the particular distinction of actually having been "born "twice and has the very special name of "Hope." Macie Hope McCartney returned home on Saturday at the age of four weeks after doctors delivered her a second time from her mother's womb and entrusted her to her father and mother, Chad and Keri McCartney. However, the little girl would not be alive were it not for a daring pre-natal surgery that required doctors to partially deliver her in order to remove what would have been a fatal tumor.
Just four months into Keri McCartney's pregnancy, an ultrasound revealed a tumor growing on the baby's tailbone the size of a grapefruit - nearly as large as the baby herself - that was stealing the baby's blood and weakening her heart. Armed with the hope of just a 10% chance at survival, but facing the certain death of their child if nothing was done, the McCartneys' entrusted their unborn daughter's fate to the skillful surgeons at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston. Dr. Darrell Cass, the fetal surgeon who led the team that saved Macie Hope's life, described the procedure - a four hour long operation that carried great risks both to the life of Macie Hope and her mother - in an exclusive interview with the TODAY Show .
Surgeons anesthetized Keri McCartney into a deep sleep in order to make sure the womb did not think the pregnancy was over during the procedure. After finding the right place that would not disturb the placenta, surgeons opened the womb and extracted about 80 percent of Macie Hope's body, leaving only her head and upper body inside. Cass's team worked fast since exposure to air carried the risk the baby - no heavier than 4 ounces - would go into cardiac arrest. After 20 minutes of operating, surgeons removed the tumor, replaced Macie in the safe environment of the womb, and then carefully resealed the uterus to make sure that amniotic fluid did not leak out. Fortunately there were no other complications. The baby grew for another 10 weeks inside her mother and was born healthy on May 3.
"The pregnancy lasted another 10 weeks, which allowed Macie to recover from this tumor that had been killing her," Cass told TODAY. The parents have stated that they are overjoyed at being able to finally go home, and bring the latest addition to their family to her four anxious siblings.

how beautiful! thank you!
You forgot the part about how sometimes the magic vagina doesn’t work quite right, and you’ve got to kill the amorphous tissue mass as it tries to exit.
You wouldn’t want your children “punished” by a living amorphous tissue mass (would you, Barack???)
wonderful story.
TY for pinging me!
