Worldwide campaign against meat eaters. It worked against smokers!
Associated Content ^ | 6-4-2008 | Bobby Tall Horse

Remember the campaign against smokers? It started quietly and grew to hysteria. From bans to added taxes, smokers were left to wonder what hit them. Tobacco was (and continues to be) a legal substance. Now, following the same pattern, a push has started against red meat.

Um, studies have and continue to be done. Like the article says..

They have this all mapped out folks. Just like they did with the cigarette smokers. And not all of the studies on smokers and health problems were on the up and up. Just sayin’. Now IF this article is true and IF it affects your burger..well, ya can always pay extra tax and insurance premiums to continue the pleasure of eating that burger.

Vegatarians are the most self-absorbed, pretentious a**holes and see meat-eaters as low-brow, knuckle-dragging philistines.

Add to the fact that 90% of vegatarians are screaming liberals.

If you don’t want to eat meat that is fine but don’t act like your better than everyone else because of it.

The vegetarian diet can be healthy IF, and it’s a pretty big IF, you pay careful attention to your supplements. But it is not natural for human beings.

There has never been, nor will there ever be, a naturally evolved human society of vegetarians. I don’t know who came up with it first, but to illustrate that, I use the 10-mile-rule. 10 miles being the maximum distance a human being can walk in one day and return with sufficient food to feed a family.

To live a vegetarian lifestyle following the 10 mile rule, eating only the vegetation that occurs naturally in that radius, is impossible anywhere in the world. Humans are simply not built that way.

That being said, if a person wants to be a vegetarian as a matter of personal choice, hey, knock yourself out. But don’t try to claim it is natural or even healthy if you are not prepared to do sufficient research and consume exotic supplements to get the nutrition that your body needs and vegetables simply do not provide in sufficient quantities.

Nobody is touching beef any time soon. There’s not even close to enough scientific studies linking it to anything to even start down that road.”

The “scientific studies” connected to smoking were more hype than fact, IMO.
I know smokers who have lived a long life and have no cancer.
I also know people who never smoked and didn’t live in a smoking household, and died of lung cancer.

This is about much more than vegetarians. The article said its a worldwide movement. It is about “global warming” its about “global pollution” and it about Americans eating too well.

The world wants us to suffer a bit.

Indeed. Remember, Obama told us that we Americans should not expect to eat as much as we want to.

Vegan for 40 years.

Conservative voter.

I just prefer not to eat putrified carcasses or contribute to the suffering of sentient creatures.

Nope, never have worried about supplements or ‘protein balancing’.

I am against eating red meat! Slightly pink is o.k. in the middle but no red. And a good dark crust on the outside but no red!

If God did not want us to eat animals, He would not have made them out of meat

...or given us BBQ sauce. And what's this about "a push has started against red meat"? Why red meat? Is a chicken's life more valuable than that of a cow or something?

You know, like "they" have decreed a dolphin's life more valuable than a tuna's.

If God did not want us to eat animals, He would not have made them out of meat.

Nor would he have created mashed 'taters!

Pass the beef, please!
