Question:
Would you rather:
a) watch last night's McCain speech? Or
b) be waterboarded?
Would you rather:
a) watch last night's McCain speech? Or
b) be waterboarded?
Well, I’d say A, but I have the feeling you’d then waterboard me until I said B.
c) Watch people who ask stupid questions be waterboarded
Listening to that speech was pretty hard to do.
There was no fire there and the speech was completely monotone.
He is really showing his age and does not look well to me.
An after the fact vote would to be waterboarded.
I’d rather be waterboarded than watch ANY McCain speech.
Then again, I feel the same way about Fauxbama.
Any poll without a “none of the above” choice is prettys suspect, IMHO.
Waterboarded for sure!
Hell, as a matter of fact, I almost think it would be better to just drown.
I opted for (a) because I was having a hard time getting to sleep and after two minutes of McCain I slept like a baby.
At least he didn’t say he would slow the rise of the oceans as B. Hussein did, did he?
It sounded like McCain is a graduate of the George E. Pataki school for Audio Sominex.
Issac Hayes was wrong, Barack Obama IS the Black Moses.
I’d have to be waterboarded TO watch it.
Obama vs McCain is the same as the JFK vs Nixon tv debate.
McCain is OLD, he looks OLD, he talks OLD,
I know many over 82 who speak with passion and vigor of any 20 year old, but McCain is just not that.
I respect his service but his service does NOT provide him a projected presence on the TV.
Just wait the JFK DBM swooning has already started.
If Michael Savage is talking over McCain’s speech the way he did last night, I’ll listen to McCain’s speech with Michael Savage’s help.
I don't like Mccain but I plan to hold my nose and vote for him because he's the closest thing to a Conservative in the race.
Question:
Would you rather:
a) watch speeches by President Obama for eight years? Or
b) watch speeches by President McCain for four years?
McCain's speech was creaky, ungracious, and unnecessary. I never understand why politicians don't take the opportunity, when so easily presented, to simply be gracious and hold their fire. Watching McCain, I couldn't help but think of the astonishing contrast Barack's triumphant speech to a massive and adoring crowd will be. It was not a comparison McCain should have invited.
It would have been more statesmanlike precisely the profile McCain is attempting to craft to acknowledge this historic moment in American politics. A major party is on the cusp of selecting an African American to be their nominee for President of the United States. It's a tribute to America that we've come this far. It would have been magnanimous to leave it at that, and wait until tomorrow to declare with enthusiasm and relish, "It's on!"
