BFD, "might". Lying under oath is perjury
if it's relevant to the charge. If you witnessed a murder at work, it may not be relevant that you borrowed your wife's car that morning to drive to work. You may choose to lie about it, perhaps because her car is not authorized to park in your employer's lot and you'll get fired if that comes out. On the other hand, if you were charged with the murder, and the getaway car's description matches your wife's, then lying about taking her car is perjury.
Fast Eddie is saying he might lie under oath. Depending on the situation, he might be able to do that an not commit perjury.
Easy solution: Do not commit adultery and then you won't have the dilemma about lying to cover it up.
