The aiding and abetting the enemy who wants to kill us all, Newbie (2008/05/23) is about 99.99 percent from the Democrats and their affiliated thugs and assassins, including Hussein Obama, Rev. Wright, MoveOn, Soros, all the other Israel-haters and all the others who yearn for our defeat and the defeat of all freedom loving people in the Middle East and in fact throughout the world.

If there is a Republican or Republicans involved, it is a pimple compared to the tumors of the Democrats - a terrible thing to have to say about the Democrats, a once great political party that once loved this nation and had people dedicated to protecting it and freedom instead of working to destroy both.

Looks like Norquist’s wife knows how to wage Jihad in an effective, non-violent manner in order for other Muslims to impose forced theocracy later, of course.

I didn’t know just being a Muslim was a crime.

It's a crime against democracy and against truth.

There is just no way, im opinion, to know if a Muslim is a terrorist or not these days, especially when Muslims that are brought forth by well heeled GOP operatives turn out to be connected to Islamic terror organizations or supporters of that.

Norquist seems to be just that, the person whose name and prestige just let in the enemy.

Back in the day - the mid 90’s - I knew Grover pretty well. Went to a couple of the Wednesday meetings and to his house for a function when I was in DC. Admired the work he did and knew some of the staffers and stayed in touch with them. All committed conservatives it seemed.

I suspect what happened to Grover was that as his organization grew, he needed more and more money. Then money became what he was doing it for, instead of the cause. Had a payroll to meet, I suppose. Well, once you start doing it for money instead of for what you believe in, then it all goes to hell. You cannot sell yourself just a little bit.

This makes me very sad. Grover could have been one of the better spokesman for conservatism. Glib, intelligent, very good TV presence.

The Washington pundit industry relies on Washington power and money just as much as any welfare queen. If the power weren’t concentrated there, they would be out of a job.

Newt always spoke so well of this guy, I thought he would have been a strong economist or something for any Repub administration.

I was told about this a year ago, seems it was written about by Daniel Pipes a while back, also.

There is a rumor that because of people like this, that the FBI is infiltrated deeply and is no longer trustworthy!

we can’t afford to turn Muslims away from our party

Nice sentiment. Can we borrow it to put on America's tombstone?

But islam is a religion of peace, Race. George Bush told us so. Therefore, Grover has just been duped by crazy radical muslim criminals (not jihadists). Grover is an unwitting victim of islamic radicals. /s/

America, as a country, has a complete freedom of religion. The founders experiment is that, in a land where all religions are treated equally by law, and tolerated without government interference, the rough edges of those religions will moderate, realising that freedom is good for all.

So far, we’ve survived with our 1st amendment. If the 1st Amendment will now spell our death, well, I’m not ready to abandon the 1st Amendment out of fear that freedom is too dangerous a concept.

My opinion is that there is a race between radical fundamentalist Islam, and the forces of modernization and comfort that are trying to overtake the Muslim world. We kill those who act out, and “convert” the rest to the global economy.

People tend not to destroy that which they see as helpful. We can’t kill over a billion people. Even if it was the right thing to do, which it isn’t, we simply don’t have the will for it.

IN the ancient days, the solution to competing religions was simple enough — fight to the death, and the victor kills the men, takes the women and livestock — and if the women are perceived as dangerous as regards spreading the loser’s religion, they are just killed as well.

My church prays for God to save his creation which are enslaved by Islam, Buddhism, and other false religions. But America can do little more but be viligant, be watchful, punish the criminals, and hope that the culture of our country can overcome the tendencies and tenents of Islam among it’s american followers.

Unless you are advocating we round up all the Moslems and put them on an island somewhere, pushing them all to vote for liberal democrats seems like the worst thing we could do. Because a Democrat is NOT going to protect us.

The problem is that many Islamic organizations were infiltrated by terror organizations. Some were STARTED by terrorists. But they didn’t advertise themselves as such.

Most Muslims, especially politically active Muslims, were bound to have had some connection to one or more of these groups, and are therefore open to “guilt by association” charges. Are there ANY good Muslim organizations? I can’t say. But what I look for is first, a statement of conservative principles, and second, how a person responds when evidence of wrong-doing is presented against an organization.

In the case of Gill, the organization he was “associated with” was actually praised by the head of the FBI almost a year after Gill’s association ended — and his association was pre-9/11. Does the FBI get things wrong, sure!!! But it’s hard for me to fault a guy for representing a group that was on the “good list”, and was STILL on the “good list” a year later, simply because after that they were found not to be so good.

What we WANT are good, patriotic, conservative muslims to create NEW organizations that seek to integrate muslim faith into the American way of life, and to provide help and protection to holy men of the faith who are willing to teach the new way. Is it a fools errand? Maybe, but the only alternative I see is to revoke the 1st amendment, or worse to allow radical muslim faith to grow and fester and become a cancer in our country, shielded by the very freedoms they seek to destroy.

We aren’t going to launch a war on Islam. Assimilation seems our best hope, short of God intervening directly in the hearts and minds of his creations.

The Hoover Institution’s Paul Sperry recently stated, “Four years into the war on terror, US intelligence officials tell me there are no baseline studies of the Muslim prophet Muhammad or his ideological or military doctrine found at either the CIA or Defense Intelligence Agency, or even the war colleges.”4

More than you ever wanted to know about Grover Norquist....

His brother is now head of finance at DHS, promoted after messing up all the funds in the same job at DOD.

His wife works for USAID, which has been ripe with scandal and corruption of late.

Norquist and company ARE the White house’s immigration policy and much of it’s trade policy.

Do not underestimate his involvement with Abramoff.

Grover Norquist: ‘Field Marshal’ of the Bush Plan

“I started out as a right-winger, and when I retire I want to be a squishy middle-of-the-roader,” he jokes, chortling at the thought. Grover Norquist

“Here’s GOP strategist and Muslim voter outreach architect Grover Norquist in the Los Angeles Times dismissing critics of the deal: “The only whiners left by next week will be the registered bigots.”

“Several Senators including Joe Lieberman challenged documented missteps and questionable spending of billions in defense contracts handled by Norquist.”

“Gingrich and Norquist have been close associates for decades.
Newt Gingrich describes Norquist as “...the most creative and most effective conservative activist in the country.”

And Norquist hasn’t only developed close ties to American groups that apologize for terror. He has also flacked for at least one Middle Eastern autocracy: Qatar. Eager to improve relations with the United States, Qatar worked with Norquist and Saffuri to help portray itself as a liberal outpost in the Islamic world. In April, Saffuri sponsored the “First Annual Conference on Free Trade and Democracy” in the Qatari capital of Doha, for which the Islamic Institute received over $150,000 in payments from the Qatar Embassy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Account. (Saffuri says these were reimbursements for the travel expenses of congressional delegates.) A lobbyist at Norquist’s firm, Janus-Merritt, has solicited pro-Qatari op-eds from at least one conservative pundit. When the emir of Qatar came to
Washington, Saffuri hosted a Capitol Hill luncheon in his honor. And just three weeks after September 11, Norquist wrote an op-ed in The Washington Times in which he claimed that “Qatar has taken great strides to enshrine values of universal suffrage, a free press, and human rights.” He continued, “[S]he really means it on being a reliable ally.””

“The Senate Indian Affairs Committee earlier this year subpoenaed the conservative advocacy group Americans for Tax Reform (ATR), headed by Grover Norquist, requesting information for its investigation of alleged lobbying abuses by Jack Abramoff. Citing his right to privacy, Norquist enlisted an unlikely ally in the American Civil Liberties Union.”

This article is a must read:
Illegal-immigration bill weakened by unlikely alliance - Deja Vu!

“Grover Norquist, a social conservative and anti-tax Republican lobbyist, reveled unapologetically in the tactics he used to undermine the verification initiative and to mock Simpson personally.

The peel-off bar-code tattoos were supposed to remind people of the way Nazis tattooed Jews during World War II.

“It was great,” recalled Norquist, who is close to House Speaker Newt Gingrich. “We had our guys walking around with tattoos on their arms. It drove Simpson nuts because the implication was he’s a Nazi.”

The truth, however, is that both the House and the Senate bills specifically barred the implementation of any kind of national ID card. Politicians view such a card as a political kiss of death; nobody expects Congress to seriously consider one.

Toward the end of the debate, Simpson decried the pranks and slurs.

“We have dealt with tattoos and Adolf Hitler,” he said. “It is the most offensive thing that I have ever heard. It’s disgusting and I’m sick of it.”
