Bill and Hillary Clinton no longer control the Democratic primary.There's simply no other conclusion to draw after the party's Rules and Bylaw committee reached a decision Saturday that helps Barack Obama and hurts Hillary Clinton's chances of somehow winning the Democratic presidential nomination.
Clinton, in the words of Florida State Sen. Arthenia Joyner, wanted "it all" at Saturday's meeting. She wanted full delegations seated from Florida and Michigan, with a full vote.
She wanted Obama to get zero delegates from Michigan, since he followed the rules, ignored the outlaw primary and went so far as to take his name off the ballot. (Granted, he did this largely to please voters in Iowa and New Hampshire, but so did Clinton when she agreed not to campaign in either state).
Instead of acquiesing to Clinton's demands, the rules committee awarded full delegations with half votes. And they gave Obama a bunch of delegates from Michigan to boot, rejecting Clinton's argument those delegates should be uncommitted.
So did Clinton get ripped off? Her supporters certainly believed so, shouting their disapproval when the votes on Florida and Michigan were taken Saturday at a Washington hotel.
But let's look more closely. Clintonites on the rules committee actually voted unanimously to support the Florida compromise. ....

Hillary has never had any interest in the Senate. For someone with a safe seat and such loudly proclaimed policy concerns, she has done nothing.
If she is not elected President in November, or does not become President in some other way (remember, President-elect FDR narrowly escaped assassination in February, 1933), she will resign her seat.
Bet on it.
What I've also been noticing is that Schumer is not front and center, fighting for Hillary.

I get your meaning but they have a lot of other options available, they can always truck them down to South Carolina, Peewee Gaskins had no trouble finding places to dispose of victims here. Of course they might actually prefer that the victims be found, that would be another matter.
For the Clinton duo power center, it is Armageddon time - total, unrestricted war. Aren’t these Democrat squabbles fun?

Whatever you think about either candidiate, it is remarkable to watch the Democrat party deny the most basic precepts of democracy, splitting votes in half and apportioning delegates ex post facto according to some convoluted notion of “fairness”.

What's next for Hillary? We'll find out pretty soon if she is considering the "nuclear option" - by fighting the Michigan compromise all the way to the convention in August. As I've written before, it's a dangerous strategy that could rip the Democratic party apart, destroy her legacy and that of her husband, and still not win her the presidential nomination.Regarding riots, there is already a movement for massive demonstrations in Denver:Maybe Hillary is bluffing, but it sounds like she and her top aides are girding for a long-haul fight all the way to Denver, even if Obama becomes the presumptive nominee after the final primaries next week.

I agree. The Clintons are insane. At least now everyone sees their insanity for what it is -- murderous personal ambition at any cost.
