I would think that generations of inbreeding would be more of a danger to their survival than anything else.

I'd be a bit suspicious in that the picture takers have a vested interest in stopping logging of the Rain Forests and destroying habitats of natives....not that I disagree with that.
However, 2-4 huts in a tiny clearing the size of my back yard and a handful of people (had that many family over for breakfast this morning) - does not look like a viable, sustainable group. And where are the curious little kids?
'could be staged. It's been done before.

Lucky devils, it would be the life.
Oh and for all those who use this site as a “conversion forum” here’s your real chance! There can’t be that many groups who have not heard the ‘Good News’ right?
This could be the last one. The Rapture could be at hand!
So I would advise all my self-assured, self-righteous evangelical brothers and sisters to drop what their doing, buy a ticket to Brazil, and head in the bush. Don’t worry about a returm trip, you’ll be floating in the sky before you know it!

They need to deliver some clothes, technology and modern conveniences to these people. If they look at it all and choose not to use it so be it.
I would imagine, that given the choice that they don't even know exists. they would choose modern life.

One of South America’s few remaining uncontacted tribes....
...but on subsequent investigation, they were discovered to be merely the descendants of a band of American hippies who moved to Peru to found a commune in 1969.

Survival International says that although this particular group is increasing in number, others in the area are at risk from illegal logging.
If Survival International truly wanted to help...they would support increased logging in the US to drive down the price of timber.

Am I the only one who finds this whole thing highly skeptical? This is from BBC's website, not altered by me at all:

Is this the polar bear of the Amazon? This is all about protecting "their land" according to the BBC article.
