Mika Brzezinski realizes that the latest looniness emanating from Barack Obama's church poses political problems for the presidential candidate. But as a person of pallor, the ever-so-PC Morning Joe-er doesn't want to judge a black church—even when the most recent rantings come from the mouth of . . . a white preacher.
Morning Joe opened today with a clip of Father Michael Pfleger guest-preaching this past Sunday at Obama's Trinity United Church of Christ. Pfleger, a fixture on the radical Chicago scene whose endorsement of Obama until recently appeared on the official campaign website, mocked Hillary Clinton's New Hampshire tears as a sign of her frustrated sense of white entitlement. The screencap shows Pfleger making like Hillary wiping away those tears.

But while acknowledging the headache Pfleger poses for Obama, Mika was oh-so-loath to comment on the substance or tone of the remarks themselves. Excerpts from her discussion with Tucker Carlson, Mike Barnicle and Willie Geist:

There was a regular caller - black - to the local morning talk show in Austin a few minutes ago, and he basically said the same thing. His attendance at a church that engages in repulsive, racist, speech has to say something about B. Hussein O.'s character.
A tacit admission by a liberal that the Black church is exempt from all anti-chr*stian criticism aimed at white churches because of their “otherness.” In other words, it’s okay for Black chr*stians to interpret the Bible literally. Six day creationism? How exotic!
As I posted on another thread earlier: "if someone would plant microphones in many churches, a number of them would loose their tax exempt status, as well they should."

She is such an idiot. She truly could not get a job but for her father.
This guy seems like somebody who didn't have many friends when he was growing up to me. Meaning he was probably too,er, "intense" for the other healthy, normal kids. (shutter) Can you imagine what this guy must have been like in high school?
I would not set foot in this ‘priest’s’ church.
Don't be so harsh on her. If you include cleaning the house and doing the wash, that would make three things she is good for.

I propose that NBC just needs to make it official and rename themselves OBC.
As for “Father” Phlegm. The parishioners of the Chicago Archdiocese need to write Cardinal George (and perhaps even the Vatican) to get this clown out of the Church.

Apparently Father Pfleger has been at the same church SINCE 1981!! That’s virtually unheard of in the church.
