George W Bush Has Plans For Air Strike On Iran By August
Pakistan Daily ^ | May 27, 2008

The George W Bush administration plans to launch an air strike against Iran within the next two months, an informed source tell, echoing other reports that have surfaced in the media in the United States recently.

Two key US senators briefed on the attack planned to go public with their opposition to the move, according to the source, but their projected New York Times op-ed piece has yet to appear.

The source, a retired US career diplomat and former assistant secretary of state still active in the foreign affairs community, speaking anonymously, said last week that the US plans an air strike against the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC). The air strike would target the headquarters of the IRGC's elite Quds force. With an estimated strength of up to 90,000 fighters, the Quds stated mission is to spread Iran's revolution of 1979 throughout the region...

This is probably the only true part.

Well, it sure will not be a surprise attack.

It would be fine by me but frankly it sounds like BS. Bush plans to be in Crawford or maybe fishing with his dad in Maine in August.

I am positive Bush will not be passing a less than nuke neutered Iran to his successor.

Guess again. Bush has had it, and is content to run out the clock.

"...the leaks have been effectively kneecapping W since his first term with no sign of punishment to the offenders, W had turned over his foreign policy to his own critics. Brilliant!!

I guess we can put you down as unimpressed by the "New Tone In Washington" approach to governance. Yeah, me too.

To his immense credit, Bush did exactly what he promised when he campaigned back in 2000. He said he would ‘change the tone in Washington’ and bring ‘dignity back to the White House’. He absolutely did.

But he has refused to say anything bad about any of his opponents. He has refused to speak harshly about those who betrayed him and the US by leaking our secrets. He refuses to allow his staff or spokesmen to take shots at the opposition or even call them on the carpet when they openly lie about us. It’s all very civil and very Bush-family manners of him. Bush even invited all those libs over to the White House and did nice favors for their families and friends. Bush even refused to expose democrat pork and fraud or veto hideous legislation unless last year just to be ‘bipartisan’ and collegial.

And in return, Bush was treated like an illegitimate child and/or a rented mule and they beat him relentlessly, mercilessly and without concern for his feelings or the toxic environment it would result in. And yet Bush still never hit back or even condemned those who call him a terrorist, a nazi, Hitler or a traitor. He allows them to accuse him publicly of lying about Iraq and tear apart his White House over the Plame scam. And his refusal to sink down to the level of his opposition and engage in partisanship allowed those opponents to take back Congress, prosecute Scooter, run up millions in legal bills for his friends and destroy the careers of numerous patriots who gave up private sector riches to join him and fight terrorism (like Doug Feith or Porter Goss). Bush let his friends and US valued assets be destroyed because he would not fight to defend them.

It’s almost as though Bush never planned to be President and had no idea of what he should or would do if the democrats in D.C. weren’t as cordial and honest as the democrats in Texas where back in the 1990s.

George Bush couldn’t plan a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Too much multi-tasking involved.

For you, that is probably a deep thought. Don't be so sure of yourself.

President Bush put hundreds of thousands of combat boots on the ground in Afghanistan and Iraq. He has publicly stated that the Iranian problem would not be passed on to his successor.

Bush should arrest these traitorous bastards.

I’m damn serious. Democrats need to stop siding with America’s enemies.

He can say whatever in the hell he wants, remember he said Harriet Myers was SCOTUS timber, but he’s the President who put our troops on the ground without a plan for securing weapons and ammo dumps as our forces rolled through Iraq. Furthermore, he made no provisions for policing the areas from which the enemy was driven and he kept Rumsfeld around for years after he was recognized as a failure as SECDEF.
It was also under his leadership that Bremmer, on his own initiative, disbanded the Iraqi military, sending trained personnal out the door without a means of supporting their families. These are the very people who are now being paid to fight our troops. They could have been maintained on active duty fighting Al-Quida and Sadr.
Do you actually believe Bush is going to finish in a matter of months what he couldn’t finish in five years?
The man’s a liberal. He’s more worried about Ted Kennedy’s health and the Quran being used as a target by one of our snipers than he is about the war.
“W” is a dud of monumental proportions to the conservative movement and to the nation.

"Article says the two senators are Feinstein (Rat) and Lugar (RINO)."

The latter wouldn't pre-empt by registering his complaint in public. So you'll have to read between the lines on Feinstein the next couple of weeks to see if there's truly anything to this.

LOL, wow, the trolls are out on McClellan’s coattails today, and they all have the SAME exact talking points on the President.

Exactly, I mean to the word.

An Iranian-American acquaintance, who has lived here over 30 years and is a citizen, was mentioning the other day that she wishes the US WOULD do something about Iran and soon. She’s worried none of the presidential candidates this year are strong enough to take necessary action soon.

No, we really mean it this time. He’s planning to do it. :’D

He should start it just before the Demwits convene in Denver.

Hey numnuts, try reading a post before responding.

President Bush is a man of his word. He will do his best to neutralize an emerging nuclear Iran.

Exactly, I mean to the word.
