The George W Bush administration plans to launch an air strike against Iran within the next two months, an informed source tell, echoing other reports that have surfaced in the media in the United States recently.
Two key US senators briefed on the attack planned to go public with their opposition to the move, according to the source, but their projected New York Times op-ed piece has yet to appear.
The source, a retired US career diplomat and former assistant secretary of state still active in the foreign affairs community, speaking anonymously, said last week that the US plans an air strike against the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC). The air strike would target the headquarters of the IRGC's elite Quds force. With an estimated strength of up to 90,000 fighters, the Quds stated mission is to spread Iran's revolution of 1979 throughout the region...

The way espionage laws are written and enforced in the US, if you give secrets directly to the ENEMY, then you are guilty. BUT, if you disclose it to the MEDIA, and allow them to publicize it to the enemy, then you are in the clear. Fair or not, that is the law.

I don’t buy the timeline. I think if Bush is planning to hit Iran, it would be done between the November elections and Inaguration day.
That’s where my money is.

I m positive Bush will not be passing a less than nuke neutered Iran to his successor. Not in our lifetime. I hope you are not giving odds. Baring any direct attack on the U. S. or Israel, we will do nothing.

I would not put to much belief in this story.
If there was going to be any action against Iran by the US i.e. time, date, were, our military and president Bush would not tell us... the MSM would.
Remember the D-day invasion ? the time, date, and were were a very closely guarded secret.
If anything, this could be a mis-information to trow off the enemy and keep them guessing.
I can only guess, since if a Democrat President would not deal with Iran, I guess take a good guess that President Bush will do something before he leaves office next January..... that gives us 8 months do deal with Iran.

George Bush couldnt plan a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Too much multi-tasking involved. He doesn't have to plan it. He just has to order it.

" I'm positive Bush will not be passing a less than nuke neutered Iran to his successor. "
Even if it were a very reliable conservative President who were to take office next January, I think it has more to do with who we got as " choices " and who might win the election next November than kicking the can down the road and leave this mess for someone else that President Bush taking action against Iran AND ? that we are running out of time to deal with Iran before they produce a working nuke and missile to hit Israel with it.

We have outright traitors dedicated to the destruction of our country, in elected office. I sense some really bad days for our Republic. Cicero said a nation cannot survive the enemy inside the gates and treason from within. If any senator leaks top-secret battle plans, they need to be arrested, even if it’s on the floor of the Senate.

Ahem. Have you forgotten that before the Iraqui Freedom conflict that Senator Jay Rockefeller (Dem traitor WVa) took a tour of the middle east especially Syria where he briefed them on Pres. Bush's ploans for invading Iraq?
Now is revealed that Teddy Kennedy (Dem traitor Mass) has a back channel relationship with the Soviet KGB and tried desperately to disrupt the presidency of Ronald Reagan?
Never, never underestimate the capacity of the DemocRATS to indulge themselves in anti-American behavior.

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious.
But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly.
But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.
For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men.
He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist.
A murderer is less to be feared.”
