Securing the border is not a Mexico policy.
I want to know what our Mexico policy is.
I thought Rove was ‘magnificent’?
And while we're at it, we can cut about 75% of our own citizens off the welfare ride as well.

"The construction of the 1,522 mile long road from Dawson Creek, British Colombia, to Fairbanks, Alaska through rugged, unmapped wilderness was heralded as a near impossible engineering feat. Many likened it to the building of the Panama Canal.
There was much praise for soldiers who pushed it through in just eight months and twelve days.
And, this feat was accomplished by 10,760 Army personnel (including 3,700 troops from Black Battalions) and most had no ENGINEERING or road building experience.
Now this supposed "guru" Rove, makes this idiotic comment?
Sheesh. Gimme a F'n break.
If we had the WILL, we could build a double layered 12 foot fence from Texas to Kalleyforneea (as Ahnold pronounces it) in less than a year.
“cannot?”
the last four letters of American are I...CAN!
John McCain “says” he will secure the border...
lets just make damn sure he does starting in January!
First five minutes were good. He should have stopped after that. Because then he starts to run to his global position. Screw him.
“Anyone who speaks on this subject should have some facts and understanding of the issues and solutions.”
Practice what you preach Karl! What about the thousands of dead Americans because you insist ‘the border can’t be secured!?? What about that? You and your buddy Grover Norquist have created this open border mess. Go away!
Give me a break!
These are the people who want to dissolve our borders and have one big, happy North American Union.
“We can’t secure our border”...RUBBISH!
Why people take policy opinions of Rove seriously is beyond me. The guy was a campaign advisor. A good one. But he’s not a pundit and his opinions are generally crap.
Karl Rove is a pinhead and always has been.
He is the wrecking ball of his party.
Everytime he comes on TV I turn it off.
Karl Rove?
Oh, I remember him.
He’s one of them that said when American forces invaded, Iraquis would throw roses at the feet of American soldiers.
Tick, tock, tick, tock..........we’re still waiting, Karl.....................
Karl Rove.......nicknamed “know-it-all.”
This is the guy who backed abortion worshipper RINO Rooty Giuliani.
Rove and then-RNC chair Kenny (light-in-the-loafers) Mehlman sent Rooty out on the campaign trail.
Rooty was to campaign for Repub candidates (Rooty was to help the guys, win, then cash in his chips when he declared for president).
Trouble is when Rooty showed up, the votes disappeared as fast as a whore at a virgin’s convention.
That was the infamous Nov 2006 debacle when Repubs lost control of the Congress-—after 25 years.
Thanks to Rooty, Rove and Melhman-—now long gone, thank God.
Call out the National Guard. Eight to 12 troops on every mile of the border with rules of engagement that force will be met with force.
Border secured in less than two months.
After a year of truly secure borders and enforcing our immigration laws, the President goes to Congress and they happily pass a guest worker plan and maybe even a very small amnesty.
Result: Republicans and conservatives happy with secure borders and enforcing laws and Hispanics happy with some legal status. A win-win strategy as opposed to Bush and Rove's current lose-lose non strategy.
Rove stinks.
Rove misrepresents some facts in that video.
He wants credit for apprehending more border crossers, but never mentions how many they have missed and allowed across. He never reveals when they began to increase border arrests.
He says, in Dec 2006, that they are building a fence with all those features he talks about, but fails to mention that the fence bill had just passed a few months before that, and construction on the fence had not yet begun.
He wants credit for large raids on companies hiring illegals, but fails to mention that they did all that only after being forced to do so by a massive outpouring of public opinion against their previous record of very little prosecution of companies hiring illegals for the first six years of the administration.
No, I don’t trust Karl Rove to accurately assess the feasibility of securing the border. To Rove’s assertion that we cannot secure the border, I say, “Nuts!” More than that, I say, “Yes, we can.”
To your charge of xenophobia, I say, “Prove it.”

We could be doing a damn sight better than we are at the present time.
