Obama criticizes absent McCain on Senate floor, McCain hits back hard

Jim Webb's GI Bill passed the Senate today with a bipartisan majority, 75-22. Clinton and Obama were both there, but McCain is in California today on the fundraising trail.

Obama used the opportunity to once again tie his rival to the president.

"I respect Sen. John McCain's service to our country," Obama said on the Senate floor this morning. "He is one of those heroes of which I speak. But I can't understand why he would line up behind the president in opposition to this GI Bill. I can't believe why he believes it is too generous to our veterans. I could not disagree with him and the president more on this issue."

The McCain campaign responded by issuing a sharply worded and lengthy statement in the senator's name. McCain notes his support for an alternative to the Webb measure, but points out his own military service and points out Obama's lack thereof.

Barry Hussein is not concerned with understanding issues. He just wants to get elected. So he throws out one liners and talking points and depends on the lib media to press home the point, while protecting him from reprisals for his monumental ignorance. Nice work if you can get it and leftist dems get it with every network but Fox (usually) and with most newspapers.

"Tone it down old man. Your teeth and temper are flaring and it is a ghastly sight."

A very strange response - don't you think that McCain should stand up to Barry Obama? His response was strong, clear, measured - in short, the kind of response a man should make when someone attacks him.

What kind of answer did you think he should make?

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t a McCain fan, but at least he’s trying to earn our votes.

Between this response to Obama and his speech where he laid out his plans for his first term, I have to say, the man is giving a good effort to earn our vote.

“McCain took Obama to the woodshed! Ouch!!!”

Will anyone but us know about it? MSM is in Obama’s back pocket. The MSM has always been lopsided but I have never seen them like this. I didn’t think they could get any worse. I was wrong.

Who’s advising Hussein on this stuff? Anyone with any political smarts would know you don’t go after McCain on military issues, especially when your own candidate has no military service.

McCain notes his support for an alternative to the Webb measure, but points out his own military service and points out Obama's lack thereof.

So? What's the point senator AMNESTY.

By the time Barry graduated from Law School in '88 he'd have been too old, at 27, to enlist in our military. 26 was the cut off age back then. I hope JUAN Amnesty McInsane ain't goin down the, 'You didn't serve so shut up on all things military' road. That's a loser (as the left found with Cheney).

Especially since Juan Amnesty McInsane would have flunked out of Annapolis if daddy and grand-pappy were not Admirals (this time the Dems will be correct. The GOP candidate is a dunce).

I'm NOT defending Obama, but this two faced lying plick makes me sick. (maybe JUAN should have issued this retort in SPANISH so his supporters could understand it)

...The office comes with responsibilities so serious that the occupant can’t always take the politically easy route without hurting the country he is sworn to defend.

Wouldn’t McCain’s amnesty for illegal aliens hurt the country he would be “sworn to defend”?

Let’s face it. McCain for all his years served in the U.S. Senate doesn’t know squat about serving as president. Tone it down old man. Your teeth and temper are flaring and it is a ghastly sight.”

I disagree.
Experience counts for alot more than most people under 25 are willing to admit.
Obama has next to Zero experience and like a starved puppy, he seems too eager to try and please everyone on every issue.
I couldn’t vote for Obama if he was the only person on the ticket.
I also believe that it is time for someone in the Oval Office to have a temper. We have been trying to be PC over everything and it has cost this country dearly.

As the left so often delights in saying to those on our side who did not wear the uniform of the US military... Barack Hussein Obama has no right to speak on any issue regarding the military or the the war.

Obama won't even salute our country's flag, except when it is politically advantageous to do so. We don't need another traitor in the Oval Office; that much we, as a country, should have learned years ago.
