Good evening, TS...how was your day?

Oh, and I have sort of a free pass to yell my head off at one of the more frustrating classes.

Early in the period, I was shaking my head and I reminded a couple of them that I had last December of something that I'd said back then -- there's one thing worse that when I yell.

When I stop yelling.

Because that means that either I gave up or just don't care anymore or even if I do care, it won't make any difference.

They were almost relieved when I raised my voice at them later to get them to focus.

(Actually, they should have been yelling at me. I handed out trig tables and made them do it without the calculators.)
