Ted Kennedy has made clear to confidants that when his time is up, he wants his Senate seat to stay in the family - with his wife, Vicki. Multiple sources in Massachusetts with close ties to the liberal lion say his wife of 16 years has long been his choice to continue carrying the family flame in the Senate. Kennedy won the seat in 1962; his brother John held it from 1953 to 1960. Theres no question that hed like Vicki to continue in his seat, said one Massachusetts Democrat with ties to the Camelot clan who spoke to Kennedy recently, before his health crisis. Shes smart, and smart politically.
No, my monitor is 6 years old now and is getting darker. Besides, lol, I want a larger than 19inch and a flat screen thin one.
I am half Polish, lots of them in the Pittsburgh, Carnegie area where I was born. Not many Italians down here, at least they don’t stand out in my area of Texas.
Lol, you are probably right on that. Perhaps some ‘intern’ like Monica.
So sorry LJ, I missed this earlier. Mine is a 19inch Dell but I have complained over and over about dark images that I don’t see everything in [my eyes are good, lol].
When I got my laptop I saw things that didn’t show up here. and here, on my desktop is where I work on my animations and you know how that is.
Read up in Google and it said not much you can do if your monitor gets ‘dim’. Glad I’m not the ‘dim’ one, heh!!
Night.
Hi Meek! I think you are my bedtime alarm clock, lol. I’m just heading off.
Don’t think he looked nearly that bad when Joan and he parted. He has been losing weight this year, wondered about that.
I pinged you a lot tonight, pick and choose wisely, lol!!
Night!
.
I’m lucky
My WebTV has a simple and fast brightness, contrast, tint, color, sharpness, a 3D feature that improves my TV picture
Hush, mine had all that - till it started getting dim....
hehe!
I try to check in here after I get home from work.
I can spend a few minutes here and that’s about it,
so it seems.
I also have to hit the horizontal rack in a few ...
G’night!
.
Hey Meekster!
Howdy! :^D
Thanks for the bio on Vicky.
So she is magna cum laude, summa cum laude, and Tulane Law Review, obviously she is no “dumb blond”. Of course, this doesn’t mean you have to like her choice of causes, but she is apparently not lacking in qualifications.
“Shouldn’t there be an election?”
Special elections are expensive, most states seem to accept the idea of a spouse being a place holder until the next regular election. Speaking of spouses who were not reelected, what kind of qualifications did Mrs. Carnahan have when her husband was killed.
Consider yourself so informed.
Look at all the happy smiling priviledged faces, all the clean hands, and all the unread books!
I thought they changed the law so Romney couldn’t appoint someone if Kerry had won.
*sigh*
I read an article saying there would have to be a special election. I had thought if this happened 2 years ago, and Kennedy had to quit, that Gov Romney could have appointed a Repub to the seat but I guess that could not have happened anyway.
I also howled with laughter at the local paper’s Soundoff column yesterday. They asked the question “what is your opinion of Teddy?” Many responses were favorable of course. One moron said so he made a mistake many years ago. Some people will never let him forget it. DUH! A young woman only died.
Anyway, one person said it all: “He is a liar, a drunk, an adulterer, and a murderer.” LOL!!
You got that right, if I read between the lines correctly! LOL
