Kennedy wants his Senate seat given to his wife(dynasty ping!)
hot air ^

Posted on 05/22/2008 1:40:24 PM PDT by wsjreader

Ted Kennedy has made clear to confidants that when his time is up, he wants his Senate seat to stay in the family - with his wife, Vicki. Multiple sources in Massachusetts with close ties to the liberal lion say his wife of 16 years has long been his choice to continue carrying the family flame in the Senate. Kennedy won the seat in 1962; his brother John held it from 1953 to 1960. “There’s no question that he’d like Vicki to continue in his seat,” said one Massachusetts Democrat with ties to the Camelot clan who spoke to Kennedy recently, before his health crisis. “She’s smart, and smart politically.”

I’ve watched most of “The Sopranos,” and I must admit I have never seen Monica Lewinsky in an episode.

I guess ‘what the Kennedy’s want, the Kennedy’s get! It isn’t fair but so it goes. If that was the Bush’s, the dems wouldn’t shut up 1 minute!

No, you lose, but thanks for playing.

Nor did I make such a statement. What IS it with people reading into my posts what is not there?

Just like a liberal to believe that his power is to be kept in the family.

That’s a great photograph of the Kennedy clan LJ. All of the Kennedy men cheated on their wives and they all ‘stayed’ except for Joan.

I pitied her, believe her alcoholism was brought on by the ‘circumstances.

When your family is spelled with a capital F, you get whatever you want.

The photo needed almost an hour of work to look like that. It was small and dark and muddy. Wonder why.

Throughout their history the Kennedy Family sticks together whether willing or not.

You did a good job. It looks dark on this desktop but I think I need a new monitor. My laptop shows things lighter and I am seeing ‘mess ups’ in some of my gifs that didn’t show up on this computer, lol.

Yes, they stuck together - big name, big money, big power?
Like the HillBillies??

[Like John Edwards’ wife]

You know I don’t watch the news much and haven’t heard a word about her since he dropped out.

Note the ‘generation’ change? The Kennedy women were pretty silent. The present generation speak out more in anger, most of them anyway.

.

Yes - nothing critical on Edwards’ wife for a long time

Those front lawn lawyer PR speeches for TV just.... stopped

Politicians will milk sympathy votes in any way they can

After Mary Jo was killed - Ted showed up on front pages in a neck brace

The media made Ted the victim

[Ted showed up on front pages in a neck brace]

I know, I recall it all well. Perhaps the media wasn’t quite as bad back then because I heard every bit about it on TV and was well aware of what happened and what he tried to do.

I did leave it a little dark, it just felt good that way. Might not be your monitor.

Ted probably hired a young female bartender to drive him - on his Senate staff
