The House Judiciary Committee has subpoenaed former White House adviser Karl Rove as part of its inquiry into whether the Bush administration politically meddled at the Justice Department.
Accusations of politics governing decisions at the agency led to the resignation of former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.
The subpoena issued Thursday orders Rove to testify before the House panel on July 10. He is expected to face questions about the White House's role in firing nine U.S. attorneys in 2006 and the prosecution of former Gov. Don Siegelman of Alabama, a Democrat.

Let the Stalin show trials begin!
Oh, here we go again, the Dem investigation machine.
From what I understand this is based on hearsay evidence from a low level sign placing campaign worker??
Inquisitions...our tax paying dollars at work!
It’s not the quality of the evidence, it’s the seriousness of the accusations!
How about Clinton firing ALL the attorneys right after taking office? Gee, no probes!
Snore....Dems just won’t be happy until they nail the guy that nailed them.
Another abuse of power by the Democratic controlled Congress.
The name should be changed to “Star Chamber.”
Stonewall them until November, then they’ll drop the whole thing.
John Conyers continues his quest (obsession)...
“Towards thee I roll, thou all-destroying but unconquering whale; to the last I grapple with thee; from hell’s heart I stab at thee; for hate’s sake I spit my last breath at thee.”
Karl: “I do not recall.”
Repeat as necessary.
“Are you now or have you ever been a member of the Republican Party?”.................
No they won’t. At that point, they will escalate the investigation and start arresting people. You forget who you are dealing with. I would not be surprised if Obama had Bush arrested and turned over to the Hague.
LOL - Don’t you know if he was asked that, and said “Guilty as charged” that reply would be the next days headlines.
That would be a serious error in judgement.
Tangentially, I was once the consummate optimist; now I'm desperate for anything to warrant optimism. For the love of God, conservatives must turn out in full force come November. We end up with president hussein obama, we may never again have any opportunity to reinstitute a working constitutional republic in this country. Maybe we're too far gone already. The largely unproducing masses (barack and hillary voters) have been delivered the key to the treasury by opportunistic democrats. How do we now protect private property and the fruit of our labors?
Love that AK’s governor is challenging the EPA over polar bear issue. There are one or two silver linings.
