55 delegates and 8 superdelegates are at stake in Puerto Rico.
Basically, the article quotes spokespersons from both campaigns in Puerto Rico saying how the Island might put their candidate over the threshold and how important Puerto Rico is during this Democratic primary process.
Obama will be on the Island May 23-25.
Hillary will be on the Island from May 24-26.

2. "Gringo" is only pejorative depending on context. Besides, in Mexico, I was called "Guero" (an old Indian word meaning "paleface") more than gringo.
My fellow Americans can be so STUPID when it comes to racial classifications. The only place where the "hispanic/Latino" race exists is in the minds of Americans (of all races).

1. Silvie is correct in that Boricua and Mexicans are culturally distinct. Anyone who's ever spent time in the not-so-nice parts of Chicago (or worked as a youth counselor as I did years ago) or, more recently, New York can tell you this.
Right. Culture. Not race. The Spaniards are Caucasian. As far as I know there are only four races; Caucasian, Negro, Indian and Asian. Everthing else is a mixture.
The idea that on the Census hispanic has its own classification leads to the separation of people. I am not the one advocating a special status for the "race" hispanic but they sure do.

Well, Silvie, I guess we would literally have a REAL COLD WAR then, wouldn’t we, if the Ruskies built up forces across from Alaska (again) near the Bering Straight: we could just send NATO troops/air cover to aid Canada, if that was the case. No, we’ll never drill there, it’s really part of Canada, not Russia, and has bridges built to nowhere ‘cause there’s nobody there: get rid of it. But hey: don’t you see what I’m saying about getting rid of Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the lot? Protect The Lower Forty-Eight, I say. Maybe a good topic for Chris Plante to cover.
