55 delegates and 8 superdelegates are at stake in Puerto Rico.
Basically, the article quotes spokespersons from both campaigns in Puerto Rico saying how the Island might put their candidate over the threshold and how important Puerto Rico is during this Democratic primary process.
Obama will be on the Island May 23-25.
Hillary will be on the Island from May 24-26.
PR Ping
Why do I have a funny feeling Richardson will be the VP choice?
I have a problem with Richardson campaigning in Puerto Rico.... the problem lies in that Richardson is of Mexican descent, and Puerto Ricans are of Spanish-Caribbean-African descent.... the two races have never really liked each other and are very culturally distinct and different (except for the Spanish language).
It’s quite humorous to see these gringos going down there to GROVEL for Puerto Rican votes.....
Home of the IRS - Obama finds out who runs the country in case he didn't know.
Puerto Ricans and Mexicans are not different races. Hispanic is not a race.

Gringos, huh!?
Hillary will crush Obamao in the PR for several reasons:
1. Hilde being the Senator from NY makes her the Senator for Puerto Rico
2. Obamao massively underperforms among Spanish speaking folks
3. The Clinton years are still remembered foundly in PR.
This will be a blow out of WVa/KY proportions, thusly Obamao cannot win the Delegate race, he will need either Super Delegates or Hilde regular delegates who defect to Obamao..
Chill out, Ray.
Mexicans consider themselves Latinos; Puerto Ricans consider themselves Hispanic.
Good for them. They are still the same race.
Calling them separate races only exacerbates the problems that "diversity" has wrought on the U.S.
Whatever, buddy.... it’s way too early for this and my caffeine kick hasn’t gone into full turbo gear yet....
55 delegates at stake in Puerto Rico. Why, that’s almost as many delegates as there are states!
Hispanics come in all colors, i.e., races.
Puerto Rico Ping! Please Freepmail me if you want on or off the list.
When the dingo makes a mistake in life, it should not be punished by eating a baby. --Barack Obama.
Allow me to divert from the exact topic at hand and portent the following:
Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Guam, etc. are not states. Hawaii and Alaska are states, but not Americans must cannot drive there and tghey do not share common borders with other states.
The Lower Forty-Eight, are, as far as I am concerned, the real United States of America.
Therefore, I would propose that we sell off Alaska to Canada, sell off Hawaii to any country that wants it (who would miss that liberal Mecca), turn Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, etc. over to whatever inhabitants are currently residing there and call it a day.
Preserve & protect The Lower Forty-Eight: that’s the true United states, the rest are either a result of Colonial style interests or unwarrated purchases.
In other words: the USA should have a fire sale of all non-Lower Forty-Eight interests/states. Could pay off the National Debt in doing so.
Not so fast with Alaska, Nick. The Russians will lay claim to it and thus start bickering with Canada over its oil reserves.... I see the Ruskies and the Canucks both drilling the hell out of Alaska, something our eco-friendly and politically correct leftists here in the USA will not let us do....
Boo hoo the Caribou!
In the meantime, I filled up the gas tank on my Camry today for $72.00!!!

I don’t know if I agree with the exact use of the term “ethnic”, regardless Mexicans and Puerto Ricans DO consider themselves to be different.
If you’d like to get a thorough a$$ whoopn’ simply refer to a Puerto Rican as a Mexican. I susspect the obverse is true also; Mexican to Puerto Rican.
They DO NOT like to be confused.
Short of sharing different dialects of the same language I believe that Puerto Ricans share very little in common with Ambassador Richardson and his presence could be a fly in the oinment. My bet is that he’s so far in the bubble that he wouldn’t even know it.
Rule 2: Don’t mess with Hispanic/Latina Mamacitas before they have had their caffiene,...and ideally after they have had it, too. ;0)
Jew know what I am tawkin about, Silvie! (head is swiveling, finger is waving)
Are you waving your finger like this?
