1 Timothy 2:1-4 I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

Dear Heavenly Father,
I lift up Senator Kennedy and his family, asking for Your comforting hand and mercy to be on their lives. Lord, he has done a lot that we disagree with, a lot that we can even say transgresses Your law- but again, we are all guilty of breaking Your law and none of us deserves Your mercy and grace. Therefore, Lord, we pray for the Senator what we ourselves have been given, grace. We pray for his family that this illness may draw them all closer to You. The Kennedy family has had a tragic history, and Teddy’s malignant tumor only adds to that pain. Yet, they have also been strong through it all and can be admired for that reason. Politics aside, this is a family that needs You now. And so we pray for each of them and we pray that You will gain glory from this situation.

For it is in the beloved name of Christ Jesus my Lord that I pray these things, Amen.

Prayer's up for Ted Kennedy! Although some say this is a rough road to haul here, I've seen my aunt go through a brain tumor, she lived for 2 years after that but we are all different, our (Penna) Arlen Specter beat his. Let's hope he beats this and although we like our jokes about him, let's declare a moratorium on them. We need to show some class here.

Senator Kennedy and family, may God bless you and yours and may they guide you and your doctors into beating this disease. Amen.

I care about anyone who has taken ill.

Prayers up for Sen. Kennedy & his family. For his own sake, I hope he will take an immediate retirement from the Senate so he can spend his remaining days with his family.

But like someone else said on anothe thread - I most of all pray God uses this to make Senator Kennedy face the truth, repent, and trust in Jesus Christ alone as Lord and Savior.
