I know Obama is getting record crowds, estimated as high as 75,000 in Portland, OR. But is curiosity the same thing as support? Are these massive crowds going to vote en masse?
Obama is a draw, but is he selling liberalism like never before or are liberals simply coming out like never before? Given some of his more ludicrous statements one has to wonder how many Americans are ready for his hard core liberal stances:
Pitching his message to Oregon’s environmentally-conscious voters, Obama called on the United States to “lead by example” on global warming, and develop new technologies at home which could be exported to developing countries.
“We can’t drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times … and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK,” Obama said.
“That’s not leadership. That’s not going to happen,” he added.
SInce when is leadership kowtowing down to the world’s biases (usually generated by a malicious and liberal news media)? America is not killing the planet. As I noted in another post if you look at where the global warming IS, it is not over the American continents - it is over Asia where most of the human population lives.

There is no topic on which the left will allow individual freedom of choice

My toilet cannot handle a normal flush, so I flush it 2-3 times whenever I have to get rid of an object.

The Obama extraveganza in Portland this past weedend sponsored a free concert by the Dave Mathews Band AND free beer! People in Portland are not stupid - no doubt some of my relatives went just for the free suds but they’ll still vote for Ron Paul.
The crowd on Portland’s waterfront park actually was only about 38,000 - 42,000 (that is all that park will actually hold!) so the 75,000 number is bogus.
There were no doubt lots of non-voters out there in the sunshine getting high, drinking beer, and listening to music courtesy of Obama’s flush-with-money campaign.

I agree that the free concert and beer explains the giant crowds. Now about your comment regarding people in Portland...
I put on my ski jacket on, then drove to purchase groceries. It just dawned on me. Perhaps the pic yesterday of BHO’s wife appearing so piss off, was because she was freezing to death as they ate their ice cream. And she just could not take it any more.
ROFL....we are cooling down out here ...hope to get under 95 on the beach,...Inland it is still going to clear 100.
