I pretty much hate everything about our current bloated, constitution-over-stepping federal government, too; except when they stay strictly within the limits of the powers granted them by the constitution (like funding the military and operating post offices and such). I do not hate our FORM of Government, but the form OF our government. These are two different things. Perhaps your brother is having a hard time discerning between the two.

There is a lot of monopolistic, anti-capitalist behavior by large U.S. corporations that tees me off, also.

Michelle Obama's remark that "for first time in my adult lifetime I'm proud of my country" stirred a controversy at the time. Critics said it sounded unpatriotic and suggested she had not been proud of her country before her husband's candidacy.

Just for the record, critics did not suggest she had not been proud of her country before her husband's candidacy, Michelle Obama did by saying "for the first time in my adult lifetime", unless of course we need to redefine the word "first" much in the same way the Clinton's needed to redefine words like "is", "sex", "alone", etc. None of Michelle's critics forced her to say those words, nor are the suggesting anything by using them. Why is it whenever a Democrat says something like this, "critics are suggesting" the Democrat is whatever he/she just said?
