Obama tells critics to leave his wife alone Mon May 19, 2008 8:50am EDT
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama said on Monday that Republican critics should stop picking on his wife Michelle.
"These folks should lay off my wife," Obama said in an interview with ABC's "Good Morning America."
Obama was referring to a four-minute video posted on YouTube by the Tennessee Republican Party last week during a visit by Michelle Obama that portrayed a remark she made in February in an unflattering manner.
Michelle Obama's remark that "for first time in my adult lifetime I'm proud of my country" stirred a controversy at the time. Critics said it sounded unpatriotic and suggested she had not been proud of her country before her husband's candidacy.

How about she lay off the America bashing?
Thin skinned and big eared.
But perhaps he’s not so “thin-skinned” as much as he knows that her comments are reflective of his worldview, which he must keep hidden from the general electorate.
Which “skin” would that be? The WHITE half, or the BLACK half part of his skin?
I don’t think his ‘Whiteness’ is played up enough. As a Typical White Person, I’m offended because it’s racist to deny your White, Kansan Heritage! ;)
If anything, I want these America/Western Culture haters to spout their hatred as loudly as possible.

Quinn on the Quinn and Rose show announced today about a Obama’s wife video. She shows great anger at white people. The video should be out soon. She will destroy Obama.
It’s just amazing that she would PERSONALLY knock this country SPECIFICALLY as a black....’cause she sure is reaping the benefits of this country.

I hear them more and more. It’s now acceptable to hate America. There is a noticable push in America to the left. Full on socialism is in our future, with communism hot on it’s heels.

I’ll say!! It’s ok for her to criticize the country that gave her everything she has. But, not ok for others to criticize her ungratefulness.
It’s the Democrats in general who are thin-skinned. They spout any garbage they want, and then expect to be exempt from criticism. Their protests shouldn’t be taken seriously.

Your wife should STFU. When she opens her mouth it gets national coverage. She should learn that there are consequences for this. She's a big girl Barry. She doesn't need you to go to bat for her.

Maybe his campaign could put out some guidelines about what is untouchable in this campaign:
His wife’s anti-Americanism
His endorsement by Hamas
His support of appeasement
His 20-year history of being a congregant of Rev. Wright
His friendship with Bill Ayres
His real estate deal with Tony Rezko
His silence on virtually all issues as an Illinois state senator
His middle name Hussein
His Muslim childhood
His over-stating his position as “law professor”
His comments that he had to lay low on support for “Palestine” in order to get elected President
Don’t bring up any of these, or you’ll be a racist.

I don’t think it’s becoming acceptable.
It’s just that the left is losing its understanding that it has to keep this hatred of traditional America under cover.
They talk to likeminded folks so much in their lefthanded circle jerks that they think that everyone else holds the same views.
Whenever they are openly exposed by us, they SQEEEEEEEEAL about it because they know it’s the road to their defeat.
