THIS WEEK (ABC): Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., and Rep. John Boehner, R-Ohio.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez; former Sen. Trent Lott, R-Miss.
Sooner rather than later our philosophies will be the norm and theirs will be the abnorm.
Even better, they are relatively inactive. And the less Congress does, the better off we are.
On ABC This Week, Biden said he was told by CNN after Bush’s “appeasement” statement that Bush was referring to Obama.
I wonder if he believes everything CNN tells him.
Thanks...I was just trying to cheer everyone up. ;)
Iread this comment on a thread on Newsbusters, and it is so on point, regarding the DBM association with dems and Obama in particular:
In the tank

If you had any doubt about how the MSM was going to report the coming election; yesterday you got the opening salvo/preview of coming attractions.
You knew of course they would be biased and spin like mad for the Democrats, I think the only open question was just how far they would go.
The answe r(which is no surprise, really) is that the Obama campaign are not just reading from the same page they are in fact a joint operation, working together to produce the page.
It is not that Obama’s campaign makes a statement and the MSM responds favorably; instead its is the MSM conferring in advance with the Obama campaign about what the statement should be.
The relationship is like that between the author of the screenplay, the author of the original work the screenplay is based on and the director of the movie.
We need to be calling what AP, NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, NYT, WP, MSNBC are doing what it truly is, not spin, but collaboration.

They(the DNC) bring on former military types who appear to be conservative and campaign that way, win in many areas due to the incompetence of the RNC and than the instant they are elected they are all summoned to Piglosi's office.
Once there she lines them up, undresses them, and tells them in no uncertain terms that they can act as they wish back home but here in DC you are all socialists and will act the part!!
There are no other agendas but liberal and don't even pretend to be even a little conservative when you are here in DC, yells Piglosi.
That's how they play the game and so far most all are falling in line like the good little rat lemmings they truly are.
It's up to us to expose all this.
Nice Miss Didi, some sage advice from Rush.
We may be screwed, we may not be.
Democrats today are, by definition, abnormal. They simply cannot win elections by telling the truth as to what they plan on doing, so they hedge and lie to misdirect voters.
I think you are right, new media will keep making them admit the truth but it will take time.
You did great post!
Did Nancy get to use Condi’s airplane, since Condi was travelling with the President?
The federal budget when controlled by dems can be used to keep them in office basically forever! With large enough amounts of money spread here and there they can become nearly unstoppable and they know it.
That's what they are all about and have always been about.
Buying socialism one dollar at a time, incrementalism at it's absolute worst hour. Brought to you by your local and Nat. Demoncrat party!
I agree with Rush on this so much. Except he was so down himself for last Tuesday’s show and I loved the show!
I’m not surprised that the pubbies lost three important, once tight, GOP elections. There’s a price for the pubs nominating such a lacklusterly received candidate as Juan McCain. There’s a price and it goes beyond sticking it to the conservative base.
For the crowds do not roar with the enthusiasm and cheer for a candidate they love and support with both money and time. The morale drops, action waffles, Delaware doesn’t even bother running a candidate even though a good pubbie would be a shoo in for Governor. Oh yeah, they finally got Bill Lee, the last guy who lost the election, to step up but the crowds do not cheer, the smiles are gone.
All these past two weeks I’ve been getting emails from the Sussex county Women’s Club, a group I’d once belonged to so proudly and was, forgive the lack of modesty, quite enjoyed by the members.
Well I don’t want to write them and tell them that I have no more enthusiasm, my drive is gone, that I feel betrayed by the GOP’s choice of a nominee and that even those so dedicated as to hold their nose and vote for the man have not one whit of joy.
THERE’S A PRICE FOR THIS, DAMMIT!
But hey, they are the political elites. They KNOW better than you an I.
Like Rush says, just sit it out, wait for the train wreck we all know is coming, then we can go in, pick up the pieces, and start anew.
maica, you could not be more right. After Dan Rather’s failure to affect the 2004 election, getting caught red handed creating false documents, the media biggies decided they were going to have to go to a direct collaboration with their preferred candidates, and that is what is going on.
They have become a lot of little Pravdas.
Good Morning maica!
I don’t agree with the statement that “It is not that Obamas campaign makes a statement and the MSM responds favorably; instead its is the MSM conferring in advance with the Obama campaign about what the statement should be.”
However, I do think the MSM does in fact, provide a favorable spin on every Obama gaffe after consulting with them.
In other words, the MSM is covering his backside.
Oblama will spend probably a billion bucks to lose and the DBM will probably give him two or three times that amount of free PR. But in the end he will still lose.
Still, Iraq should about now be getting up to the challenge of carrying its own weight. And it is!
Two months ago, Maliki ordered the Iraqi army to take Basra, and in general defeat the Mahdi "Army". Gen Petraeus, who was in the USA testifying before Congress at the time, said he wasn't fully informed of the Iraqi plan but he was all for it, nevertheless.
The end result is this. Basra is fully under control. Sadr is hiding out in Iran, and his Mahdi “Army” is stating they will lay down their arms if the Iraq army stops killing them! Basra the OIL Port, can now start shipping Iraqi oil in large quantities, finally, after 5 years of fighting and 17 years of oil embargo. The Iraqis will start paying for themselves, and I do believe there will be something in it for the USA.
Oh my God....BIDEN!
Well there you go. In mine fine state of Delaware I have to watch this 2 year old come out and stomp out a temper tantrum that my young granddaughter can only hope to emulate.
I not only live in a state where the GOP, which COULD be a player, is so damn dead there’s no pulse, but I’ve got Democrats that feel like they can act in any manner they wish to my complete embarrassment because, well why not?
It’s not like there’s an opposition party or anything.
All for the love and zeal of our beloved nominee Juan McCain.
I see my "good" senator, Kyl, is on. I think his ACU rating is (or was) in the high 90s or so. OTOH he is one of the The Grand Betrayers team who tried to cram amnesty down our throats just about one year ago today.*
Also there was that one proposed amnesty amendment designed to stop known gang members and criminals from becoming citizens. Kyl and 8 or 9 other Republicans joined with Rats to defeat that amendment--IOW they voted to make criminals and gang-bangers citizens.
I'm pretty sure he's on to give a "conservative" boost to McCain, but I'll be interested to see if he slips in a quick pimp for "comprehensive immigration reform". I'll be delighted, but surprised, if he doesn't.
*There's a new effort to slip through legislation that prohibits local governments from passing/enforcing anti-illegal immigration http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2015747/posts.
