You and Mrs. Sonora are still in our prayers. I wish there were more I could offer...I know many who’ve gone through this and are surviving many years later. It is my fervent prayer that I can add you guys to my list.

Great pic, Randy - No Dan’l Boones in the family, eh?
Good.

That bear looks like he’d enjoy tussling with the grandbabies.
Not good.

OH MY GOSH!! Get out the heaving bottles!

Did your sentinals warn everyone? Were you close by, in your shop?

Do the grandbabies know exactly where to go immediately upon a sighting?

The little guys were out in the shop with me, I saw it climb up on the deck. I called my wife who grabbed the camera.

That shot is from less than 10 feet!

Man, I know it’s against the law, but...

I’d have me a bear hide hung from the fence by this time next week.

I hope those boys know what to do when the bear shows up.

Prayers are needed now......

From our friend, Sonora....at my house, we have gone into the radiation/chemo mode as a surprise outcome of recent events - it's going to be a long strange trip for my wife and the whole thing makes me nervous. We thought we had avoided that mode, it's simply not really possible, although it's preventative - re-occurrence happens 33% of the time - so here we go.

Your whole family is in our prayers, Sonora.

Thanks to both of you. It’s a preventative measure now – apparently her type of ”C” can come back very aggressively and treatment after the fact is ‘difficult’ at best. Both of us like to think that she is free of the condition, but………

We have been informed that cancer is building in volume with no real cure, just ways of detecting and limited treatment, mostly removing ‘stuff’ when possible. It’s simply mind boggling that after all the funds that have been spent that not much is available rid us of this horrible thing.

Your prayers are appreciated.

They aren’t allowed outside without an adult escort, there are too many things they can get hurt on around here besides the bear.
