AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, Maha-Rushie! America's Anchorman, Truth Detector, and Doctor of Democracy. He is the man who runs America. He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do--That's host. Get ready to what you were born to do--That's listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

After the 06 election I said on the Rush thread that America is entering it’s own “Dark Ages” for just that reason.

I don’t think it will do any good. Look at all the other bombs he has survived thanks to the MSM.

Did you know that Carter didn’t even make Newsweek’s “Top 10 worst Presidents”? Nixon did, Carter didn’t. Go figure

Well, it burdens me greatly to say this. I actually voted for McCain when he first ran for John Rhodes' seat back in AZ years ago. He used to be conservative. But it's clear he's not a sharp thinker now.
What's his plan for dealing with AQ? Ending waterboarding and closing Gitmo? Yeah, that's brilliant. We need to "stay in" Iraq, but only as a BATTLE that we need to win on the way to VICTORY. I don't see McCain showing the slightest sense of what the larger battlefield looks like.

I tend to agree with you. But we are going to have an Obama presidency. Our hope must be that he does not get a majority of the vote, that it is split so many different ways that while he will get the electorial vote, there will be no way to convince the American people that he has a mandate. Also I hope that the voter turnout that elects him will be a historic low.

Right. The storyline now is that America can "put aside" its "racist" past by electing Obama, and there are incredible numbers of guilty whites, college students, and mainline libs who see Obama as an "acceptable black."
I think the Clintons are finished. You can't imagine how many times I thought I'd do a dance when I said those words, and yet today, its a cause for mourning in this context.

That just caused me to wonder where all the trolls who were screaming that Rush was doing Operation Chaos to "get Hillary elected" have gone.

Don’t blame yourself, that was before the DC establishment got to him. Remember, the same thing happened to Goldwater. Not sure whether it is the Arizona weather, their remarriages, or the brainwashing that took place in DC.

With BG, it was clearly age and his young(er) wife, who turned him into a pro-abort wimp. Don’t think it’s the AZ water. We didn’t have much of it!

And that is the real sad part. People win and people loose. I can get over my side or guy not winning. But Obama is just unacceptable. His choice of church and friends have shown that. If Obama wasn’t a liberal but was a conservative he would still be unaccepted to me. He is morally bankrupt and has poor judgment.

So you're a fortune teller too? No one can force him to nominate anyone. Read the Constitution ever? He can nominate conservative after conservative. Do you know how many seats are still open in the 5th and 11th circuits? The supreme court works the same way.
You keep lying to yourself if it makes fell better.

Khomeini was just getting the Mullahs’ feet wet in 1979. Even Reagan didn’t realize the implications of his pulling the Marines out of Lebanon after their barracks were blown up by Iran’s late great operative, Mugniyeh. If we have to confront Iran during an Obama presidency, we may not be so lucky.

Rush is right—the Smoot-Hawley tariff made the Great Depression much worse. Preceding that, however, was the government’s decision to contract the supply of money in 1930.

But this COULD be a terrific tactic for a conservative who could paint the libs as, well, libs. But McCain wont do that. Hes too principled.(snort)
