NEW YORK POST ^ | May 12, 2008 | LARA MOSCRIP

Posted on 05/12/2008 9:13:37 PM PDT by george76

Harlem was once the only place in the nation where Hillary Rodham Clinton could count on black support.

Now it's hard to find any Clinton backers there, even in the shadow of her husband's 125th Street office.

For the majority that statement is correct.

Yes, I shouldn't have so broadly generalized. I doubt that Walter Williams or Thomas Sowell, for example, will be voting for Obama.

Your other points are good ones as well.

In 2004 my brother - - in his 40s - - voted for the first time in his life. So did his wife and several of their friends. The main reason? They absolutely abhorred the thought of John Kerry as President. But this year, even with an Obama or Hillary presidency looming, my brother is not sure he could vote for McCain. This could be a year where turnout - - or lack thereof - - means everything.

So, a large Dem turnout in November will give Congressional Seats to the Dems. Can’t say as I was over joyed with the job the big-spending, pedophile Pubbies did when they had both Houses of Congress.

There is a clause in Bubba’s lease...If Hillary becomes President, the lease is ended without penalty.

But electing a new Repubican majority would necessarily involve electing many new Republicans to Congress not the same old faces that got thrown out in 2006.

Makes one wonder how successful Colin Powell would have been had he chosen to run for POTUS.

Colin? That depends how one defines success.

Bureaucrat-Chamberlainesqe isn’t a strong win in my book.

The most powerful position in the USA deserves a strong voice ADVOCATING that unadulterated USA.

Neither Powell or Rice would get my support. I think both are far more willing to negotiate with terrorists and trust them than I would ever be.
