McCain has not cared much about the conservative base (far from it, he loathes it). I don’t really think he is calculating on getting many votes from the traditional base and is, instead, going to try to establish a new base (with liberal Republicans and the mushy middle) for himself which may include courting some of the social conservative base while telling the rest of it to get stuffed. We’ll see if it works. No matter who wins, get ready for bigger government (global warming) and amnesty.
Especially since the elite gov't wants us on that train. Mass transit. They'll really be in control then.

How can a country with 320 million+ citizens come up with three candidates that is each flawed in so many ways?
I know that voting for a third party candidate would be a bad idea if we want to keep the DemocRATS out of the White House but I am starting to think after this election cycle it might be time to ditch the Republican Party and form a true conservative party.

I believe that it is too late for him, unfortunately. We'd probably be better off by just allowing him to self destruct. That will give the Nation the opportunity to find out how truly corrupt the Dems are.
