One of Barack Obamas Middle East policy advisers disclosed yesterday that he had held meetings with the militant Palestinian group Hamas prompting the likely Democratic nominee to sever all links with him.
Robert Malley told The Times that he had been in regular contact with Hamas, which controls Gaza and is listed by the US State Department as a terrorist organisation. Such talks, he stressed, were related to his work for a conflict resolution think-tank and had no connection with his position on Mr Obamas Middle East advisory council.
Ive never hidden the fact that in my job with the International Crisis Group I meet all kinds of people, he added.
Ben LaBolt, a spokesman for Mr Obama, responded swiftly: Rob Malley has, like hundreds of other experts, provided informal advice to the campaign in the past. He has no formal role in the campaign and he will not play any role in the future. The rapid departure of Mr Malley followed 48 hours of heated clashes between John McCain, the Republican nominee-elect, and Mr Obama over Middle East policy.

Randy Scheunemann, Mr McCains foreign policy chief, suggested that Mr Malley was part of an emerging pattern in which other advisers had been repudiated after throwing confusion over policies on trade and Iraq. Perhaps because of his inexperience Senator Obama surrounds himself with advisers that contradict his stated policies, he said.

Nothing new, he is Chgo democrat.
They lie, obfuscate and change the rules to suit the moment.
If Barack opens his mouth, i believe he is lying until proven otherwise.

Khrushchev said, ‘We will bury you’. Of course, we will not bury you with a shovel. Your own working class will bury you”. We have let the socialists take our schools. Our children have not been taught how to think, rather what to think for a long time now. Ditto for Hollywood, Network news, etc.
They will go after the Internet next. The idiot, Tim Robbins, in a speech to the National Association of Broadcasters, just a month ago, among other things, said this:
“Just when we were close to a national news media, providing a general consensus on what the truth is, along comes the Internets that allow its users a choice on the kinds of news it watches. And the You Tube. My God we've got to stop them.”
If that doesn't demonstrate how far left the left has gone, I don't know what will.
I’m worried that McCain will say that these issues are “off limits” in the campaign. He is so bizarre and doesn’t seem to want to use Rev. Wright or anything relevant to bring down Obama. He’s just asking for a loss, because he’s not going to fight.
You take the story from there. You write it. What do you think would happen?
My reply: we’d see 98% of libs and Demonrats crawl under their respective rocks, and we’d see quickly see the benefits of a nationwide housecleaning of dangerous kooks and low-life traitors.
You’re right. It’s not WWII. It’s a much, much more dangerous time that calls for appropriate measures by principled people who understand that the Founders never intended the Constitution and the Bill of Rights to become the basis for a national political suicide pact.
If GWB hasn’t the fortitude or political courage to understand this then I hope others in his administration do and will act accordingly if we end up facing the prospect of traitors—elected through the votes of millions of illegals—taking the Oath of Office in January.
That’s what the Founders would have wanted.
I knew our country was probably heading the way of the dodo back in 1999 when one of my peers said Will Smith should be president.
Sad thing is, Will Smith WOULD make a better president than OBama. I am pretty sure Smimth is not friends with terrorists. Never thought they would find someone was wretched as that. Not in a million years.
Wrong time period, sorry good American.
Obama is a gift to us provided McCain doesn’t look the gift horse in the mouth.
You mean allah , right ;-(
God help us if he becomes President!
I think He could, but the question is, would He want to?
Don't hold your breath. Obama's second term is a long ways away. Until then, it will all be dismissed as character assasination, rumors and inuendo, etc.
Then Obama might be re-elected for a third term by a 96% margin, like any good communist.
Just got through listening to a segment on John Bachelor’s Sunday evening show. An interview from a mid-Eastern reporter told of yet a second adviser on Obama’s staff with connections to Hamas, and that Hamas has not retracted its support for Obama.
I think he “fired” him not because of the communications with Hamas, but because it bacame public knowledge. And by “firing” him, does that mean he’s just taking the guy off his Advisory position, but retaining him as a consultant?
but we hate McCain so much !
