Historically Locke has been a black high school. There are probably Mexicans that have moved into the area. So I would suspect it was between the Chicano’s and the Black’s.

I'm confident that the problem could be resolved by greater funding of public schools by the taxpayers.
These impoverished students, on whom only $9,500 is being spent each year - on each student, don't have any incentive to develop any interests so they turn to fighting.
arrrghh.

“Lockdown”, LOL!
Most of these inner-city schools are little more than holding pens anyway, so naturally the language used will be typical prison lingo.

Food? Hard to hurt someone with pasta!
in the LA schools more likely it was tortillas being launched.

So I would suspect it was between the Chicanos and the Blacks.Yeah, according to the kid/witness interviewed in that TV news report (post #18) it was a brawl between "the blacks and the browns".

Forgive my being scared.
John Titor of coast to coast fame predicted, in either 1998 or 2000, that 2008 will have a civil war and 2009 will see a woman president and 2014 a nuclear attack on every major city on the east coast.
What will people do if gas and heating oil go above $10 ?

I live in S Cal. Even in my area I'm seeing a degradation of students and courtesy. Now, since I don't like Obama, I'm the racist.
Maybe Charlie Manson was right about a race war being imminent. There's more gang graffiti here than ever before and we now have a national setting for more fights.
Despite the levity of this thread, this is serious business.

Charlie Manson was exposed to Black Liberation theology in its early stages via the prison system, long before he arrived at the Canyon.

was exposed to Black Liberation theology in its early stages via the prison system I am wondering what Charlie learned and how he learned it; how the instructions were "given." With his prediction, I doubt if it was good.

While I think Charlie Manson was affected by his multiple experiences in jail, I suspect he found his "calling" due his involvement with a group called "The Process" (Robert DeGrimston).
Here's a link; it's compressed data (mostly comes across as "garbled" to anyone not aware of what was going on in CA during the 60s:
The Process
The Process did this strange mix of religion and politics.
And while in CA during the 60s and 70s, the most common phrased used by neo-liberals was... It's All About the Process....

lol, actually, thats old, my original plan was for January, but my med stuff was screwed up, and my MOS wasn’t available til May cause I missed the first session. I actually leave tomorrow for basic. Took a loooong time to get here, and yet it somehow snuck up on me. So hopefully, my answer will be “really good”, but we’ll see.

Oh, and as for Bastiat, I first got turned on to him by my Political Economy professor, and after reading The Law, i became a convert. That anyone could explain his ideas so well and in such a concise manner is amazing to me.
