Why? This family is clean cut, Christian and happy. The kids are all well fed, polite and intelligent. The parents love the kids and said they'll welcome al the Lordd is willing to send them.
We need more Duggars and fewer vasectomies.
You’ll know if you read them. His columns read like verbal gay porn without actually talking about sex. Like Tax-chick says, it’s the adjectives.
It's not, but if you really think it is, why don't you volunteer to be the first to leave?
What a bunch of nonsense!
Better than 18 abortions by one potential mother by Planned Parenthood.
Really? My My - have you seen the documentaries?

For one thing, they are home schooled - and have a stay-at-home mom. That allows for a lot of parental time - that most kids don't get today, even in a one kid household - with both parents working.
Kids live in the NOW - they want a parent available NOW - not hours later when the parent(S) ge3t home and after all the work is done - a tired out parent read a bedtime story and pats themselves on the back.
These parents believe the old tradition of - if you choose to bring children into to world - raising those kids 24/7 is your "career" = To always have a parent on hand, 24-7, trumps being in day-care/public school all day, come home to rushed parents getting meals, cleaning up, doing laundry, rush rush = and oh, goodie, a few minutes for a story at bedtime.
WAtching the documentaries and looking at the slide show on their web site - I'd say these are some lucky kids
I understand that! I would get attached too, I’m sure!
You are posting your ill-informed judgments on this family on the WEB = for all to read, forever.
Why not take a bit of time to look at their web site, to find the documentaries done on them = etc - and find that they have taken no handouts from anyone - they do this all on their own...
So you can disabuse yourself of your incorrect and judgmental postulations - and maybe jealously of someone you think is getting freebies you aren't.
Sorry if you take offense at my post - but you give GREAT offense, on line, to a family that is, quintessentially, what families should be about...
(Sure hope you don't count on income derived from your judgment)
There was a family in my home town with 17 kids. They lived in two houses back to back. Apparently the parents got together once a year to procreate the next child :-). The parents named the last two after themselves.
Actually, Jim Bob is a land developer, although, I would think that the TV money sure comes in handy.
The mother is a very careful shopper, and with all of those deductions probably pay little or no Federal tax.
Isn’t this the family that dad is some political office like a rep or something? I just saw her pic a few months ago after giving birth! They didn’t waste any time!
Built it themselves with the help of one hired carpenter.
The house is free and clear, and the TLC channel furnished and decorated it.
“There is serious lacking in the parental interaction and I am not being critical but stating fact.”
So you know the Duggars?
These threads are always a lot of fun.
NOT a Freerider!
Reminds me of the joke about a husband who goes to the drugstore on a friday and buys a gross(144) of condoms.
He returns on monday complaining that the count was short in the box.
Druggist said “Sorry if I spoiled your weekend.”
Sounds weird but I’d liked to have had that many siblings.
Oh, yea...
I’ve seen this family on the Discovery Channel.
Husband/Father is in Real Estate(he must do very well!LOL)...they built their own home . Good folks and great bunch of children!
my great grandmother had 23
