These dems confuse me so...sigh

A couple dead Obama Superdelegates later and this whole thing could turn around quickly.

So Obama has enough votes to WIN? Or just enough votes to prevent Hillary from clinching it?

The latter. At NRO's Campaign Spot blog, Jim Geraghty noted that in 1980, Teddy Kennedy took it to the convention with 38% of the delegate count. The Grifter has 48%. She has no reason to quit. Obama is terribly flawed and she and those that still and will continue to support her know it.
More popcorn please!

Neither. There is virtually no way Obama will get to the convention with enough elected delegates to win the nomination. He will need superdelegate support. None of the superdelegates is committed in any legal sense, even those who have publicly declared for Obama. If Obama suffers some sort of major meltdown, the supers could move en masse to Hillary and give her the nomination. That would be entirely within DNC rules.
To: governsleastgovernsbest
It’s mathematically impossible for Obama to win it too.

Exactly. He’s going to need superdelegates, just like Hillary.

I predict that many superdelegates will sit out the first floor vote. I have not figured out what their publicly stated excuse will be. The real reasons are sure to vary from doubts about Obama’s electibility, racism or fear of being blackmailed by the Clintons for some past secrets.
After the first floor vote fails I believe that the committed delegates will be released from their committment and the deal making will begin.

How are people this...this...purely blind to common sense, history and knowledge of character?
These are the Clintons. They will win because they will go to any length to do so.

Much has been made over whether Hill’s or Hussein’s supporters would vote for the other candidate if chosen. I’m wondering what will happen to their respective supporters in the media. That promises to be one of the more amusing shows on tap no matter which one claims the prize.
To: rjp2005
Knowing the Clintons and their methods...I wouldn't be surprised if MANY of the super delegates change their mind at the last minute...ala Rush.
And watch out for Puerto Rico. 62 delegates!!
