Like what power does she believe she would have to do that shy of an all out war?

I did not read it all, but just what authority does the United States have over the laws of the OPEC members? Is the US going to pass a law to stop OPEC and then enforce it? It sounds nice, but it won’t work.

Megalomania knows no bounds.
Oblitherate Iran, break up the oil cartels what can’t she do?
It should be interesting to see the reaction of the cartel to this.

It's a potent message...It's also very hard to figure out what exactly she means by the threat to break OPEC.
...which makes it an impotent message, dummy.

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) is a permanent, intergovernmental Organization, created at the Baghdad Conference on September 1014, 1960, by
Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Venezuela. The five Founding Members were later joined by nine other Members: Qatar (1961); Indonesia (1962); Socialist Peoples Libyan Arab Jamahiriya (1962); United Arab Emirates (1967); Algeria (1969); Nigeria (1971); Ecuador (1973) suspended its membership from December 1992-October 2007; Angola (2007) and Gabon (19751994). OPEC had its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, in the first five years of its existence. This was moved to Vienna, Austria, on September 1, 1965.
OPEC's objective is to co-ordinate and unify petroleum policies among Member Countries, in order to secure fair and stable prices for petroleum producers; an efficient, economic and regular supply of petroleum to consuming nations; and a fair return on capital to those investing in the industry.
******
Jeeeeeze...since when is Hillary Clinton a 'member' of OPEC?! I don't think she has a say in anything they want to do! She must think she is running for Queen of the World.

She's morphing into a populist on the right. Ross Perot in a skirt (well, pantsuit), and cankles.
Of course, he came in third.

Actually I like it!! I’ve said for a long time now that the only way we’re going to be able to deal with Iran (and now OPEC courtesy of Mrs. Clinton) was for a Democrat to do it. And especially her. She would have the MSM eating out of her hand inside of a week after she gives a speech calling on international fairness... this is a threat to our way of life... ours and our allies security... yada, yada, yada. The world and US press would crucify a Republican but she could actually pull it off. How? Don’t forget that there’s a reason we have the strongest military in the world. Geez...if she turned into a female J.R. Ewing (of course you all remember “Dallas”, right?) I’d vote for her in a minute.

Like all liberals is is overstepping and overreaching
She will have a very hard time downplaying this overstep. She took Obama is off the hook
That's a mighty big statement to make with no cards in your hands and no money on the table.
Now if she said, "We will crush OPEC because we are going to start drilling in every hole where they might be oil."
She could say that but, Bill would be hitting the door at "drilling every hole"......

Watch Bill’s foundation get flooded with new money..
To: Sub-Driver
... and another thing. Why don't we take about a decade and completely break this cartel by drastically increasing oil exploration and production off the east and west coast, and of course drill ANWR as well. And build at least a 100 nuclear power plants all over the country. Maybe 250, even.
But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Some evil corporation might somehow make windfall profits if we did that.
To: Sub-Driver
Hillary can’t control Bill’s zipper, why does she think OPEC will bow to her?
To: Sub-Driver
the bombastic nature of the rhetoric masks how foolhardy its premise is. in a bullfight, the matador waves a red cape to distract the bull from himself.
red cape = OPEC. Matador = Russia.
Do I need to draw pictures?
To: Sub-Driver
Maybe she can send Billary in there to infiltrate their Harems. That may make them kowtow to the cankled one.
To: Sub-Driver
"We're going to go right at OPEC," she said. "They can no longer be a cartel, Is she going to invade them?
She does realize that OPEC is made up of countries not corporations doesn't she?
