AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, Maha-Rushie! America's Anchorman, Truth Detector, and Doctor of Democracy. He is the man who runs America. He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do--That's host. Get ready to what you were born to do--That's listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).
YEP! And as Jeff Foxworthy notes, I am being trained!
Yes. Today it's First Communion. Tomorrow it will be the Prom. Ha Ha!
Congrats! I never heard of Awana before.
I heard two logical reasons that make sense to me. Too much inbreeding/linebreeding (so many horses are bred from the same winner horses) and they say this horse was raced too young - never was able to develope it’s bones/ligaments properly.
Both of those are pretty accurate. All Thoroughbreds’ birthdays are on January 1 of the year they were born. So hypothetically, if Eight Belles were born on December 31, 2005, she would have been registered as having the birthday of January 1, 2005, and would have been 2 1/2 years of age instead of 3 years old.
Fast legs are rarely sturdy legs, also. The sole quality looked for in race horses is the ability to race, so sturdiness is rarely a quality that is bred into these horses.
I blame greed.
Having breed Chesapeake Bay Retrievers for hunting there's certain dogs that appearing in almost every pedigree, I'm sure it's the same for Thoroughbreds.
LOL!!! Sure like your descriptive name for love struck Rush's new crush.
While I think it’s a product of greed, to be honest, having seen the barns, stalls, etc. of some of these horses’ (Fusiachi’s Pegasus included), there is absolutely no expense spared on these horses. Even a mid grade racer can bring hundreds of thousands in stud fees. It is in the owner’s best interest to keep these animals alive as long as possible, however, racing is still dangerous and with all the technological advances that have been made we just don’t seem able to protect these guys’ legs good enough. Even the synthetic dirt that some advocate hasn’t been proven to prevent injuries. The injury rate is actually pretty low overall too, 1.6 injuries for every 1,000 horses raced; BUT still I think there has to be something we can do to prevent such atrocious injuries.
Don’t like it...don’t like it...don’t like it. Operation Chaos has succeeded in its objective to bloody Obama...it was NEVER intended to bloody him to death...and that’s what might happen. I hope Republicans let this go..let the chips fall where they may right now.
I think either way, the D’s lose.
If Obama wins it, they lose.
If Hillary wins it, there might indeed literally be blood on the floor, and they lose.
Rush is simply doing the job that McCain’s inept campaign managers are failing to do on both candidates.
I’m not sure I’d be generating a ton of opposition research, and then leaking it to both campaigns through a cut out - complete with creative briefs and storyboards for the commercials.
“Im not going to try and judge whether or not you are truly pulling for the best candidate (McCain) to win in November, or whether you are just bashing Rush.”
Thanks for your query. I like and admire John McCain. Just the fact alone that he endured the torture as a POW as a young man and never broke tells me he deserves my vote and the thanks of all Americans. Honestly, I can’t imagine a majority of our nation would choose Hillary or Barack over John McCain.
As for Rush,I’m not bashing him. “Bashing” is such a violent term anyway! I just think it would be best now for Obama to go ahead and get the nod now that he is badly damaged. I do concede that Rush’s chaos has made Obama’s campaign harder indeed. At this point, though, I think Rush should pull back. For Hillary to win both states tomorrow puts her too close to the nomination for my comfort b/c you and I both know she’d pull out all stops to win and I am not confident McCain could beat her.
Regards
I just heard this guy explain that so much pain medication is given to the horses, that when they should start feeling pain, they don’t...thus they break legs. He also explained that they are bred for speed and that their legs over the years have gotten too spindly.
But once the general election commences, the surrogates go out and do the work. There’s no doubt this Jeremiah Wright thing would have come up no matter what. I don’t believe that McCain’s people wouldn’t do whatever they have to do to win. After all, he never let go of what Bush did to him in 2000. He knows the importance of going for the jugular...and I believe he was the balls to do it.
This whole thing just seems wrong...and if it backfires and Hillary winds up in the White House and we have ourselves to blame...don’t know how we’d get throught those 8 years. Correction, I don’t know how I will get through those 8 years.
You’re right. Hillary is a vampire...give her a little blood and she comes back louder and stronger. It’s time to put her away. If anything, Rush should have instructed the troops to vote for Obama. PUT THE STAKE IN HER HEART - NOW!
I’ll tell you what Hildy- I’d been off this thread for over an hour, then came back and noticed the beating I’d taken. Somebody even opined that I don’t like Hannity or Limbaugh! Go figure. FR is just not the same. Much of the tone is decidedly harsh, sad to say. Peace.
I saw Iron Man last night, and Samuel L. Jackson was NOT in that movie...another A-A fella...but he wasn’t SLJ.
