I believe Salad Days are here for Democrats.
I’m not famliar with the dynamics of this race, but the republicans haven’t given anyone any reason at all to vote for them for a few years now.
Here we are in an election year, and we still aren’t hearing of any reason to support them. “I’m not the other guy” just doesn’t cut it.
I thought a candidate needed 50% to win.
The way these special elections are going I am just hoping the GOP has a workable number of Senators for an effective filibuster.

Liberals shimbrels.
You had the RAT running as a “conservative” you had idiots voting for him because of that, you had idiot Republicans staying home and you had a conservative indie taking away votes. This is a triumph of moronics not liberalism. Cause the media will proclaim victory for marxism obamism. Viva high prices!
Cause=of course
Republican/Conservative candidates got a majority of the vote. The little Independent RINO twit Ashley Casey deprived Jenkins of a victory here.
Yes, there will.
She probably didn't. If Casey had dropped out, Cazayoux only needed to have won 1/10 Casey voters for him to have won anyway. So the odds are that he'd have won regardless.
go to www.actblue.com and you will discover what races the Demons are targeting..
These are The Races we need to fight for.
Screw the RNC... they suck
Pretty amazing isn't it.
Just effing damn.
Hard not to be elitist about this and say the American people are just plain stupid for rewarding the Dems are they turn farther to the left. After all, those of us who voted for Bush are considered stupid backwards hicks. But honestly, what is with the people in these conservative leaning districts electing Democrats?? I dont care if the guy campaigned as a conservative, he now bolsters Pelosi and her crew of tax hikers and terrorist coddlers. Is this what the people of LA want??
Obviously Americans are so down on Bush that Republicans are going down to defeat just because they’ve been convinced Bush is Satan and he is responsible for every bad thing in the world. As a result voters are rewarding the party that will do even worse damage. Pretty sad that we elect our leaders on the basis of these emotions and ignorance, but I guess that’s the way it’s been for a long time.
Normally, Louisiana runs a no-primary general election, with a 2-person run-off.
Apparently, they don’t do that for special elections.
But in November, they have to defend this seat. With any luck the GOP will rally behind a single candidate.
Well, they’re making out pretty well, and we’re doing our damndest to help them out.
Always an excuse, the GOP has a chance to take a Democrat District in AL. Let’s see if the GOP will fight to win.
