The Services have special dream jobs like this for a few of their best people -- steely-eyed warriors with hard ***** who just want to fly jets and teach other steely-eyed warriors how to do the same. No desk job, no staff assignment...just flyin' & fightin' (sigh).

And that's why bad guys of any stripe -- SandMonkeys, Commies, Banana Republic Dictators, The Mongol Hordes, Democrats -- don't have a chance. We have freedom-loving killers ready to do rough justice to all these @$$holes.

He’s a heck of a guy. I remember going groundhog hunting with him on his grandfather’s farm a few times when he was on leave from the Academy.

A true officer and gentleman.

I just read that an F16 costs $3600 p/hr to fly. Times 6000, comes out to be $21.6 million. And the F16 is our economy model.
The price of freedom is not cheap, but it’s mostly well spent.

Kudos for another anonymous American hero. Men like this always remind me of this other side of the coin which, sadly, is more common today:

"A man who has nothing which he is willing to fight for, nothing which he cares about more than he does about his personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. " -- John Stuart Mill, writing on the U.S. Civil War in 1862
