If the Clintons get back into the White House, it will be retribution time, like the Corleone family consolidating power in "The Godfather," where the watchword is, "It's business, not personal."
Notables who abandoned her for Obama will get the Big Chill. "He's dead to us," a Clinton aide was quoted saying of John Kerry, who along with Ted Kennedy was turned off by the perception of race baiting that led up to the South Carolina primary.
A major donor, conflicted between the two candidates and apologetic over his backing of Obama, found Hillary less than sympathetic. "Too bad for you, because I'm going to win," she snapped.
Hillary's people could do a miniseries on this campaign documenting her multiple comebacks and the egg on the media's face. When the polls closed in Pennsylvania and the race was for a short while too close to call, you could see the barely restrained glee among the commentators that perhaps the moment had finally arrived: Hillary might be gone!
Hillary lost the media a long time ago through a combination of arrogance and entitlement, but she has won grudging respect in some unlikely quarters. Conservative commentators Pat Buchanan and Joe Scarborough are openly rooting for her, and Tony Blankley, who first gained notoriety as Newt Gingrich's spokesman, confessed somewhat sheepishly, "She's almost beginning to appeal to me."
Obama may yet discover his inner Rocky and recast himself now that the media is turning on him. It's hard to be the next new thing for 15 months, which is how long he's been running. And it's time enough for Hillary to win ugly, if that's what winning takes.

What does it matter if you’re on the list? It’s not like a hundred former associates of the Clintons have died under suspicious circumstances or anything...
Tony Blankley is as pathetic as his old boss, Newt! There is NOTHING to like about Hillary.
I'm almost willing to bet on this one...She's just has so much on everyone....and ALL the delegates are/were Clinton followers at one time.
Uh, yeah, there is that problem, but Obamasama has the mastermind of a gang of mad bombers lined up to deal with it.
It will be quite juicy if the Magic Negro wins the popular vote but the monster wins the nomination, from the superdelegates. Selected not elected!
[S]he’s got ‘em on the list. They’ll none of ‘em be missed ...
That’s the one for Bill Richardson. A bowling pin will do for Robert Reich.
Wait a second. How does this woman have a column? She says in thee very first paragraph that "it's business, not personal", then proceeds to describe that it is personal, not business.
“Too bad for you, because I’m going to win,” she snapped.”
Sounds like Hillary. Chilling...
Great lineup of voter choices for 08:
Choose one:
(1) Obama the smooth speaking extreme left winger who is buds with unrepentent terrorists and a decades long member in good standing of the First Church of Hate.
(2) Hillery, a power-mad, wannabe Marxist of corrupt personal ethics (stretch as it is that to assume she has any).
(3) McCain who adores Hillery and is buds with some of the most left wing Senate Dems and who votes with them, and despises conservative Republicans. Plus is an erratic borderline nut job.
Wow! Our electoral system could be improved, money saved, and better candidates provided by throwing a dart at a phone book.
I’ve said this about EIGHT separate times in threads on FR in the past 3 weeks or so, and am almost ashamed to find Eleanor CLift saying it, even though she has a vested interest in Hillary winning, and I don’t. I can imagine EC getting sexually excited as she wrote this piece/ And, sadly, since I’ve said for months Hillary would get the nomination, it now looks like we will have a matchup between a RINO and a mock-DINO< and I am not at all sure the DINO will not WIN. I’m not sure McCain knows how to win. But I am COMPLETELY sure he’ll continue to find a way to extend his hand across the aisle “to work with the Democrats”, win or lose. (So what difference does it make?)
McCain, AT BEST, could be committed to a strategy whereby all the potshots taken at BHO and HRC are done by “surrogates”, who he then has to pretend to be “at odds with”, like the NC Republicans. In that way, he scoots to higher ground, with a wink and a nod to his “hit-men” who do the dirty work McCain is “above” doing.
It’s not about logic strictly speaking - it’s all about movie references. Looked at in those terms it makes sense.
She’s making a list,
She’s checking it twice,
Seeing who’s gonna be sliced and diced,..
What brilliant insight by Eleanor Rodham Clift. Everyone knows that Hillary is the meanest, most vindictive evil bitch to ever walk the Earth. She is America’s ex-wife! Rush’s Operation Chaos was a flawed strategy, in my opinion. It would have been better to put a stake in her heart in Texas. The Clintons are too dangerous to be allowed to get anywhere near the presidency again. She might still win, thanks to the ineptitude of Captain Queeg.
I love the whole idea of a vengeful Hillary....the Dem big wigs don’t need Eleanor Clift to tell them what she’s capable of....ever watch a ball game that’s so good you’re hoping it will go to O.T. because you just don’t want it to end? ....well, that’s how I feel about the whole Hillary-Obama thing....it’s the greatest political theater we’ve had in a long time....I can’t wait to turn on my computer every morning to get the latest news.
