I wonder how many of those old John voted YES on..

I know he voted YES to confirm -

John would stab us in the back in a heartbeat to put forth whatever he wanted to, and damned be to conservatives.
Frankly, his record stinks.

John McCain... doing for the national Republican Party what Arnold Schwarzenegger did for the California Republican Party.

And the sheep uttered "baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa."

His idea of conservative future justices probably runs along the lines of Alan Dershowitz and Laurence Tribe. Throw in the 9th Circuit, and old Senility has enough for a basketball team.

I thought we were just listing peoples ages. :) Seriously, if these peoples ages are important to electing McCain, why isn’t his age important in electing him. After all he’s older than most of them.

Don't bet on it. He would pick Voinovich or Lugar if he thought he could get away with it.

It is NOT a good bet that McLame will appoint any conservatives to the bench. So that destroys your “reason” to vote for him.

McLame has proven that not only does he not care a whit about the Constitution, but he doesn’t even have the slightest grasp of it.

Anyone who imagines this idiot will place soldi conservatives on the bench is fooling themselves.

There is NO reason to vote for John McLame. None. Not one.

Stevens is the only one remotely old, and I do believe there should be enough pubbies left to block justice appointments like the dems did ours.
I will note vote for mccain. If he keeps it up I may vote dem.

Most senators generally do support the president’s choice. I believe she got somewhere in the neighborhood of 90 votes.

> I believe she got somewhere in the neighborhood of 90 votes.

Are any of those voters running for president??
Are any of their supporters ranting about how we must save the SCOTUS based on their respective voting records?

No?

Wouldn't you feel even a tiny bit better if you could stand up for McCain and point to his NO VOTE to confirm a Ruth Bader Ginsburg as evidence that he will make the good choices here?

Instead this is what you have been reduced to.
McCain doesn't suck as bad as a black Marxist. Sad.

Almost all the posts on this thread are tired and foolish. They smack of frustration and wawawawa cry-baby footstomping taking my marbles home ‘cause I didn’t get my way.

Fine.

Do it.

For every one of you WUSS’s we lose in November, we’ll pick up five or six independents who might otherwise have voted for a rat.

Don’t get me wrong. I’d rather have y’all on our side than the wishy-washy independents. But if you refuse to BE on our side, then go take a flying f at a rolling donut for all I care.

I want to make sure the rats don’t take over the WH and allow Iranian nukes into our cities. While the rest of y’all cry and whine about not winning the primary (yes, it’s sad, I would have liked Thompson or Hunter, too) the rest of us are going to do what we have to do to keep the ENEMY from blowing us all up.

McCain has many faults. But he’s a loyal American who supports our military. How many RATS can you say that about? I’ll tell you how many: Nunn. That is, one. And that’s it. No more.

That was in the old days...before President George W. Bush!

It is entirely possible things will revert back to the old ways, once he is no longer in the White House.

John Paul Stevens is a Republican appointed by a Republican President. Precisely the kind McCain would no doubt appoint in order to appease his rodent buddies.
