Wednesday afternoon's shooting comes on the heels of a particularly violent weekend in the city. Between Friday night and early Monday morning, 36 people were shot in Chicago, nine fatally, and two people were stabbed.

Most of these shootings are gang related, fighting over turf to secure drug dealing.

What I heard about the one-handed stance with the pistol is not because it’s cool, but because if you’re in a gunfight there’s no cover around, turning sideways makes your body a smaller target and therefore harder to hit, but of course it’s harder to hit the other guy that way too, so the entire thing turns into lots of shooting at each other and hitting pretty much everything in range.

Hmmm, I don't think St. Louis is a sanctuary city. I could be wrong, but the per capita crime rate comparisons are rather mind boggling.

I used to have a concealed carry permit and did a lot of target practice. I figured no one could be that bad and a shot to the leg was a gang message!
