NOTE: Peter Paul used to live in and still lives near Asheville. We have to do something to make some news on Thursday. Peter may well show up to try to ask her a question, but we don't know yet exactly where she will be or how open it will be. We need help from anyone in the area. Who is friendly with a reporter or talk show host?

Hillary Clinton in Asheville this Thursday by Jon Elliston on 04/22/2008

In a press release that arrived via e-mail this morning, the Hillary Clinton for president campaign announced that the Democratic candidate, who is in a tight race with Sen. Barack Obama to win the party’s nomination, will visit at least three North Carolina cities this Thursday, April 24. So far, Jacksonville, Fayetteville and Asheville are on the itinerary. Joining her on the campaign trail will be former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs General Hugh Shelton, Ret.

Specific details such as locations and times have not been announced. Stay tuned to MountainX.com, where we’ll post details as they become available.

Local media will do a puff piece, there are no conservative media outlets except for the Asheville Tribune, try buzzing them up.

Bubba came through maybe a month and a half ago, so Hilde’s arrival is not much of a surprise, if one would like to try and get an interview with the local Rush AM radio station it’s

WWNC and the host is Matt Matan, a moderate/lib who has no love for the Ice Queen.

The drums are a dumb idea. They are not indigenous to the area and are annoying. JMHO.

.....I live several hours up the Parkway in Ashe County,NC and haven’t heard about this....they’re drumming on the square now???....when did this start?....is Buncombe going New Age or what?....I haven’t been to Ashville in a decade at least but I hear it’s really getting crowded now.

I contacted many in the press. Apparently, it is of no interest to them that a trial date will be set tomorrow and Hillary is going to be served with a subpoena to appear for a deposition in August.
