**TEXAS: 142 children gave birth!** 63 were raped!

Of course, that is not at the FLDS ranch. That was within the Texas Foster Care system in 2004.

"In 2004, noted Strayhorn, 38 foster children were killed; 48 were killed the following year. In addition, "about 100 children received treatment for poisoning from medications; 63 foster children received medical treatment for rape that occurred while in the foster care system; and 142 children gave birth while in the state foster care system."

fLDS have the gall to put the following biblical verse on its front page of one of these new Web sites: "That you should honestly contend for the faith that was once delivered to the saints.”

(OK, if it was once delivered to the New Testament saints, why did it need a second "delivery" they call the "restoration?")

Since Jesus & the Holy Ghost (1 Cor. 12:3) delivered faith to those New Testament saints, why do Mormons, whether mainstream or fundamentalist, claim that Jesus & the Holy Ghost "failed" in that mission in letting Satan prevail against the early church...a promise & a prophecy Jesus said would never happen? (Matt. 16:18)

Why did the apostle Paul say that God would receive glory through "ALL ages world WITHOUT END" (Eph. 3:21) if the Church stopped giving glory for about 1500 years (til 1830)?

This is all such a disturbing mess.

On one hand, Mr. Jeffs recent episode certainly shines considerable suspicion of widespread malfeasance within that community

On the other hand, we have an industry wide, inept, unapoligic, sensationalistic minded tabloid media posing as a legitimate source of information, so we really have no way of knowing what the heck is going on.

There is certainly something disturbing about seeing the “State” declaring nothing short of Marshall Law on a community an separating babies and Moms.
To me, it’s just a disturbing picture to see heavy handed government intervention like this. I can’t help but think that this could have been handled in a more civilized manner; its not like these people are going anywhere.
And if staunch resistance to an investigation were to evolve, they could then add pressure.

I have a funny feeling that if this were a PC protected group, other than pseudo Christians, the entire tactic would have been reconsidered.

This has shades of the Branch Davidians- and the Media Vilified those people at the time if you recall.

The Koran encourages polygamy. Muslims in this country have never been forced to repudiate it. I have an idea: I’m a Romney delegate. I’ll drop a dime on a Muslim family and claim I’m a 16 year old girl being beaten by her husband. Then CPS will swoop down and seize every child in the mosque. I love sticking it to Whitey! This will really foul things up for Obama. Sound like a plan?

why bother posting this? around here most everyone has decided that they don’t deserve to tell their side of the story.. that they are all evil pedophiles and rapists and should burn in hell like the scum they are.. and the children? Well they should all be taken by the state and reassigned to more “acceptable” families.. except this isn’t the truth of the matter..the truth is, these people are human beings, still not charged with or convicted of any crime because there is no evidence, shy of some pregnant teens which you will find on any high school campus.. but really....do facists need a reason to take children away from people they don’t like? I’ve heard it said over and over in these posts “I don’t care if the call was a hoax, I don’t care if they’ve found any evidence, these people are evil and these poor women and children deserve better”.. if the women are victims too then give them their children back.. and if the women aren’t victims then charge them with something.. but neither is happening because its easier to make judgements about something we know nothing about, act as the state sees fit, and damn the torpedos...and the constitution.

Their trolls have been on this forum too, trying to defend polygamy (while not appearing to defend it) and to attack the Eldorado police and FBI for carrying out the raid.

Well, this is great. On http://fldstruth.org/ we see the direct lineage of FLDS from Joseph Smith and Brigham Young. The reason the apologists are mad as hornets is the FLDS are more Mormon than they are.
