Last week, in my column on Wikipedias zealots, I described how the websites editors patrol the websites pages to enforce the conventional wisdom on climate change. Anyone skeptical of the United Nations take on global warming gets swarmed Wikipedias enforcers neutralize him and his comments or take him out completely. The Wikipedia site in this way has become a paragon of modern propaganda, operating under the illusion of Internet openness and respect for democratic process, while in reality inhabiting a fantasy world in which up is down and words mean whatever you want them to mean.

One of the boys said he was taking the weekend off, but apparently damage control called, and he's been manning the pumps every day since Friday...
Maybe their weekends are different in Scandinavia? ;-)
See the movie Expelled. It’s great and it parallels what’s happening to global warming critics.

Great sticker!
wiki what?
But, allow me to humbly add, "Wikipedia is a scam!"
Here're the two big questions to ask ~ (1) What, in fact, is mean global temperature at the surface at this moment; and (2) What is the CO2 level at 100 meters mean sea level elevation?
Well, in fact, neither number can be provided with any reasonable degree of certainty ~ which is why we don't really know if these numbers are going up or down or sideways.
This year NASA is launching a satellite that will measure global CO2. They're dumping the big bucks in this satellite because, alas, they discovered that no one even knows if CO2 is evenly distributed throughout the atmosphere, or if it has clumps.
Plus, since they started measuring global temperatures at various elevations, there's not been any change in global temperature, and that raises some doggone serious questions about the whole GW hypothesis.
Wikipedia is quite good on almost everything ... that isn’t political. On things that connect to politics, it’s decidedly leftist.
Wikipedia shows the failures of a democracy. Long live the Republic!
I concur that wikipedia is usually very biased where it can be. It’s page on homosexuality and the Bible minimizes the conservative scholarship which disallows the nonsensical liberal attempts to negate the Biblical injunctions against homosexaul relations. However i was able to edit it a little to a better balance, while more was rejected as “nonconstructive.” To their agenda that is.

Rather bizarre. I googled Kim Dabelstein Petersen, to see if she/he is an academic or has some other kind of credentials, but could find nothing, except a ton of articles and comments complaining about her totalitarian editing policies at Wikipedia.
I did find one refrence to someone named Lene Dabelstein Petersen mentioned in the acknowledgments of a scientific article on vitamin D, written by a team of Danish scientists. It seems unlikely that two unrelated people would have the same two names out of three. But whoever this little tin pot climate dictator is, she/he doesn’t seem to have any credentials.

Hello Kim [Dabelstein Petersen],
I have never engaged in argument with any person of such singular stupidity. You have set a standard that none shall surpass. **snip**

It seems to me that in a case like this, the problem should be self-correcting.
When an editor is clearly caught lying about what someone else has said, and the proprietors of Wikipedia have been clearly informed of it, unless the errant editor can give a plausible explanation, he or she should be removed from all editing authority.
That is clearly the case here, and one would think that Wikipedia would find it extremely embarrassing to be caught out in the public press like this.
The “global warming” zealots are feeling the heat as some rational science has crept into the argument. But that’s probably beside the point to them: their whole thing now seems devoted to MAKING SURE AL GORE IS RIGHT ABOUT THIS, because if he isn’t, everyone from the Nobel Committee to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to your local moonbat next door is going to feel like an idiot.
Did you see FredBauder's comment on the Financial Post "Hide Your Name..." article? Scathing!
And Bauder p*issed all over William M. Connolley, KDP's commierad-in-arms.
