We know Dick Lamm as the former Governor of Colorado. In that context his thoughts are particularly poignant. Last week there was an immigration overpopulation conference in Washington , DC , filled to capacity by many of America 's finest minds and leaders. A brilliant college professor by the name of Victor Hansen Davis talked about his latest book, 'Mexifornia,' explaining how immigration - both legal and illegal was destroying the entire state of California . He said it would march across the country until it destroyed all vestiges of The American Dream.

Moments later, former Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm stood up and gave a stunning speech on how to destroy America

The audience sat spellbound as he described eight methods for the destruction of the United States .. He said, 'If you believe that America is too smug, too self-satisfied, too rich, then let's destroy America It is not that hard to do. No nation in history has survived the ravages of time. Arnold Toynbee observed that all great civilizations rise and fall and that An autopsy o f history would show that all great nations commit suicide.''

'Here is how they do it,' Lamm said:

'First, to destroy America , turn America into a bilingual or multi-lingual and bicultural country. History shows that no nation can survive the tension conflict, and antagonism of two or more competing languages and cultures. It is a blessing for an individual to be bilingual; however, it is a curse for a society to be bilingual. The historical scholar, Seymour Lipset, put itis way: 'The histories of bilingual and bicultural societies that do not assimilate are histories of turmoil, tension, and tragedy.' Canada , Belgium , Malaysia , and Lebanon all face crises of national existence in which minorities press for autonomy, if not independence . Pakistan and Cyprus have divided. Nigeria suppressed an ethnic rebellion. France faces difficulties with Basques, Bretons, Corsicans and Muslims.'

Lamm went on:

'Second, to destroy America , invent 'multiculturalism' and encourage immigrants to maintain their culture. Make it an article of belief that all cultures are equal; that there are no cultur al differences. Make it an article of faith that the Black and Hispanic dropout rates are due solely to prejudice and discrimination by the majority. Every other explanation is out of bounds.

'Third, we could make the United States an 'Hispanic Quebec' without much effort. The key is to celebrate diversity rather than unity. As Benjamin Schwarz said in the Atlantic Monthly recently: 'The apparent success of our own multi-ethnic and multicultural experiment might have been achieved not by tolerance but by hegemony. Without the dominance that once dictated ethnocentriy and what it meant to be an American, we are left with only tolerance and pluralism to hold us together.' Lamm said, 'I would encourage all immigrants to keep their own language and culture. I would replace the melting pot metaphor with the salad bowl metaphor. It is important to en sure that we have various cultural subgroups living in America enforcing their differences rather than as Americans, emphasizing their similarities.'

'Fourth, I would make our fastest growing demographic group the least educated. I would add a second underclass, unassimilated, undereducated, and antagonistic to our population. I would have this second underclass have a 50% dropout rate from high school.'

'My fifth point for destroying America would be to get big foundations and business to give these efforts lots of money. I would invest in ethnic identity, and I would establish the cult of 'Victimology.' I would get all minorities to think that their lack of success was the fault of the majority I would start a grievance industry blaming all minority failure on themajority plation.'

'My sixth plan for America 's downfall would include dual citizenship, and promote divided loyalties. I would celebrate diversity over unity. I would stress differences rather than similarities. Diverse people worldwide are mostly engaged in hating each other - that is, when they are not killing each other. A diverse, peaceful, or stable society is against most historical precet. People undervalue the unity it takes to keep a nation together. Look at the ancient Greeks. The Greeks believed that they belonged to the same race; they possessed a common language and literature; and they worshipped the same gods. All Greece took part in the Olympic games. A common enemy, Persia , threatened their liberty. Yet all these bonds were not strong enough to overcome two factors: local patriotism and geographical conditions that nurtured politi cal divisions. Greece fell. 'E. Pluribus Unum -- From many, one. In that historical reality, if we put the emphasis on the 'pluribus' instead of the 'Unum,' we will'Balkanize'< B> America as surely as Kosovo.'

'Next to last, I would place all subjects off limits. Make it taboo to talk about anything against the cult of 'diversity.' I would find a word similar to 'heretic' in the 16th century - that stopped discussion and paralyzed thinking. Words like 'racist' or 'xenophobe' halt discussion and debate. Having made America a bilingual/bicultural country, having established multi-cultum, having the large foundations fund the doctrine of 'Victimology ' I would next make it impossible to enforce our immigration laws. I would develop a mantra: That because immigration has been good for America , it must always be good. I would make every individual immigrant symmetric and ignore the cumulative impact of millions of them.'

In the last minute of his speech, Governor Lamm wiped his brow. Profound silence followed. Finally he said, 'Lastly, I would censor Victor Hanson Davis 's book 'Mexifornia.' His book is dangerous. It exposes the plan to destroy America .. If you feel America deserves to be destroyed, don't read that book.'

There was no applause. A chilling fear quietly rose like an ominous cloud above every attendee at the conference. Every American in that room knew that everything Lamm enumerated was proceeding methodically, quietly, darkly yet pervasively across the United States today. Discussion is being suppressed. Over 100 languages are ripping the foundation of our educational system and national cohesiveness. Even barbaric cultures that practice female genital mutilation are growing as we celebrate 'diversity.' American jobs are vanishing into the Third World as corporations create a Third World in America Take note of California an d other states. To date, ten million illegal aliens and growing fast. It is reminiscent of George Orwell's book 1984.' In that story, three slogans are engraved in the Ministry of Truth building: 'War is peace,' 'Freedom is slavery, ' and 'Ignorance is strength.

Governor Lamm walked back to his seat. It dawned on everyone at the conference that our nation and the future of this great democracy is deeply in trouble and worsening fast. If we don't get this immigration monster stopped within three years, it will rage like a California wildfire and destroy everything in its path, especially The American Dream.

But that, too, isn’t history as I recall it being taught. Greece didn’t really fall: it was assimilated by the Romans, religion and all.

First, Lamm was making the point that the Greeks destroyed themselves. That was the point he was making, not that the Persians conquered them.

The Greek city states were often at war with one another. Circa 460 to 446 BC, the First Peloponnesian War between Athens and Sparta [Peloponneisan League] was essentially won by Athens, causing Thucydides to say that Pericles will be remembered for having ruled more Greeks than any other Greek state. This was followed by the Great Pelopionnesian War in 431 BC.

The Hellenistic Period, the 300 years between the reigns of Alexander the Great of Macedon [336-323 BC] and Augustus, the first Roman Emperoro [31 BC-AD 14], saw the decline of the Greek city state, subjected first to Alexander and his successors and then to the Romans. The Greeks weren't "assimilated" by the Romans, they were defeated and conquered in the Second Macedonian War and anti-Roman uprisings like those in Corinth in 148, were brutally put down. The city of Corinth was utterly destroyed.

If you say a woman cannot wear a burka while she has her driver's license photo taken, you're accusing of denying her "rights".

My first driver's licenses did not have a picture on them at all (in MD), just a physical description (WT, Height, race, eye and hair color). Pictures started later. The rules surrounding ID have changed and are continually changing, as has the use of the SSN in identification. My original SS card states prominently that it is "Not for identification".

I am not disagreeing that a picture which allows the face to be obscured is useless, just saying the criteria surrounding what is considered an acceptable ID have changed and are continuing to do so.

Ya know Jack, compared to a lot other societies we actually have damn few rules.

What we do have is a body of commonly held traditions based on most of us being the end product of Western Christian Civilization. At one time, those who may have been neither Western, nor Christian, bought into it, to their everlasting benefit.

But that was then. For many decades, our elite, always a minority, have found serious flaws within Western Christian Civilization and have ushered in an era of cultural relativism, in which all cultures are good, and all cultures are equal in value.

That means when people arrive here, legally or not, we are required to allow them to continue in the very same traditions and values that made their homelands unsatisfactory places in which to live and work.

By identifying with these newcomers and requiring obeisance to their traditions and cultures, the elites gain incredible power.

Our own open attitudes and traditions are thus turned against us. Democracy, as the Greeks well knew, always contains the seeds of its own destruction. We at least, used to have the common sense to make sure they weren't cultivated!

You are quite right to point to The Frankfurt School as the wellspring of the multicultural/unrestrained immigration threat to the Republic. All the elements and more are expressed in the syllabus of The Frankfurt School. Among them is the diabolical shutting down of all criticism directed toward political correctness.

For a shocking example of a prophet being shut down in such a manner the case of Enoch Powell is instructive. This story has been documented in an interesting presentation called Rivers of Blood available, I think, on the Internet. That film depicts how Powell was silenced and marginalized in Great Britain. We see the same thing happening here.

However there is another threat in America beyond merely silencing critics of political correctness. We are actually in peril of having someone who is not merely a dupe of the Illogic of the Frankfurt School but one who is perhaps a true believer and agent of the Frankfurt School elected to the highest office in America. Heretofore the Frankfurt School has been very successful in shaping the way people think by defining the dialogue, but they have not been openly successful in placing their operatives in high political places. This is about to change with Barak Obama.

Conservatives need to be aware of the "Uriah Heeps" out there plotting and planning hidden, self-serving agendas. Charles Dickens' Uriah Heep character was notorious for wielding undue influence, a bounder who was always planning and plotting, ingratiating himself into the confidence of others. Uriah Heep was obsequious, manipulative, and wormed his way into positions of influence. Uriah was a consummate con man, and not to be trusted.

Translated into the language of the popular culture, the Uriah Heeps would position themselves as amenable to qualities of faith and compassion, but are insincere in these feelings, users who advance their own agendas and ambitions.

The Uriah Heeps grow in their desire to exercise control over the US. The Uriah Heeps of the world fosterh the sense of entitlement and they feed on the victories of others. They become more and more power-hungry and will deploy their self-serving strategies to selfish purposes. They bring savagery and harm to the rights of the unborn, religious freedom, the restoration of American culture, and so on.

The name of their game is the destruction of Western civilization. At their very core, the Uriah Heeps evince an elitist, unmitigated contempt for Christian conservatives, and all they stand for. They hold their noses in the presence of the conservatives they loathe, in order to co-opt conservatives for their own self-serving purposes.

Moral relativism---expounded by elitist Plannned Parenhood savages and their media facilitators---has been inculcated in school-children K-12. The consequences are seen in the horrendous crimes of kids drugging up, recreational sex without commitment---committing unspeakable crimes--- killing each other, killing parents, killing the unborn.

In this moment, Christians should be aware of whom they serve and watch carefully to see if politicans' promises made to them are empty. There are those who speak the conservative language and appeal to Christian values, but who are not believers, just politicians skilled in words, but empty of heart. Christians would do well to purge this savage scourge from our midst.
