Just how bad was Barack Obama's debate performance last night? Not as bad as Britney Spears' song-and-dance routine at the MTV Awards. Not as bad as Bill Buckner's legendary error during the '86 World Series. Not as bad as Bob Dylan's music during his God phase. Not as bad as John Travolta's Scientology cinema experiment in Battlefield Earth. Not as bad as Mike Dukakis' fateful ride in a military tank.
In other words, Obama could have done worse. Neverthless, if he still harbors any hopes of driving Hillary Clinton from the Democratic race by scoring an upset victory in Pennsylvania, he might be wise to get real. It's hard to imagine that he won over the working-class, culturally-conservative Democrats who constitute the swing vote; if anything, his performance during the first 45 minutes of the debate may well have cemented their suspicions.
Obama's devotees will no doubt complain today that the ABC News inquisitors were grossly unfair, that they focused their fire on Obama while leaving Hillary Clinton relatively unscathed, and that they asked too many dirtball questions at Obama's expense. (George Stephanopoulos to Obama: "Do you think Rev. Wright loves America as much as you do?") Whatever. Whining about the media is the last resort of losers. The bottom line is that Obama didn't successfully adapt to the environment. For instance:

He’s not used to tough questions.
:::::::
No, he isn’t. The MSM has been giving him a free pass to date. It is tough for a radical leftist socialist to answer an honest question without showing the world what he is all about -— that is why Hillary never talks about anything but Obama — NEVER any issues of importance. Both of them are useless and they prove it daily. Two empty suits that would VERY dangerous to America. Radical socialist elitist carpetbaggers. Neither of which is anywhere near qualified to be President.
This is McCains’ election to lose.
I am all about the tough grilling and close examination of all candidates. This is especially true for the ones who try to hide.
Remember the time that Obama ran away from the reporters?

“Not as bad as Bob Dylan’s music during his God phase”
Who is this idiot?
Uh oh...
True but a mite nasty to say so. Dylan has proven himself to be a reasonable feller.
And neither is Hillary or most other democrats/liberals.
Yeah, Obama hasn’t even had to win a real campaign, ever. For his Senate run he got Alan Keyes. For his runs prior to that he was in territory where a Republican couldn’t win if MLK came back from the dead and said “Vote GOP.”
Once she has completely failed in her bid for the presidency, I wonder how long she will remain married to him.
It's possible Hillary will run for governor of NY. I doubt if she'll need him for that so it will be time to dump him.
Ask him about Frank Marshall Davis.
Ask her about volunteering time to support the Black Panthers.
“that is why Hillary never talks about anything but Obama—NEVER any issues of importance.”
Actually, that is not true. The MSM doesn’t cover their speeches of substance, they only give highlights, or perhaps, more accurately, lowlights. On the other hand if you listen to CSPAN or WETA or similar stations, they often give long segments of speeches with lots and lots of detail. Of course, you may disagree with the proposals, but they are being made in considerable quantity.
As to the question posed to BHO about whether Rev. Johnson loves this country - BHO said yes, of course, he’s an ex-Marine. First of all, ask any Marine, they’re never an “ex”. Second, Lee Harvey Oswald was a Marine. Timothy McVey was in the Army. BHO - lame, lame, lame.
I have been thinking the same thing. Then she can come back in 2012 and say she now has experience.
In a tactical sense yes. American has already lost the election.
It’s all about timing and strategy. I heard a well-known pundit tonight pose the theory that Bill doesn’t really want Hillary to win on a number of counts. One was that if she wins and some policies, seeds sown in the past, come to fruition, she’ll get the credit and she may end up overshadowing his legacy. Another is that, should he again be caught in a scandal with a female during her presidency, she’d divorce him so fast your head would spin. So he has some significant fears. Just something to ponder...
Dylan was great, as always, even during that period. Please don't compare Dylan to some Dim Political Hack.
NoBamma has never been great at anything political. He needs to resign immediately from the Senate (he's not there, is he?) and to drop out of the Race.
NoBammy ain't President of Taco Bell material. He's Pure anti-Patriotic Punk, so's his never-to-be wannabe first lady wife.
I was referring to the author, not Bob
> any woman with even a smidgen of self respect (and that’s most women) would have divorced him long ago.
Nope. Any woman with any self-respect would have Bobbitted him long ago: a punishment befitting of the crime.
