We are at a research facility on the outskirts of Salt Lake City, ringed by beautiful snow-capped mountains. Once they held the Winter Olympics here; now they are testing endurance in other ways.

No more forklifts.
Just strap on the suit and load up the conex.
When you are done, put each conex on your shoulder and carry them over to the trucks.

Strangely enough, I know the software engineer in the suit. He’s a heck of a basketball player too.

Great, so how bout spending some of the R&D on figuring out how to permanently defeat those primitive roadside bombs.
High tech has alot of wow factor but is useless in the grit of warfare.
Without those rather basic kevlar vests, we’d have thousands more dead against the “backward” Arab insurgents.
Keep it simple.

Some of the early civilian applications will be in hospitals and nursing homes. A tiny nurses’ aid will be able to move the heaviest patient with ease.

Here's a link to a news report on the exoskeleton from a Utah tv station:
Link This video also shows where the company wants to go with this and the possible look of future suits. Very cool.
