Now in America, "animal rights activists" make allowances for "indigenous" or Third World cultures.

Pro-animal rights, opposed to the slaughter of animals, but at the same time anti-islamic and anti-"gay?" Where does such a person fit on the spectrum?

I'm inclined to agree, and I'm well on the way to the turkey-neck thingy myself. And I don't give a rip. If I could have the face I had at 20 but have to take the brain I had at 20 to pay for it I'd turn it down flat.

She is a bit of a flake, though, at least when it comes to animal rights. But I have an entire mob of friends who are flakes, so one more wouldn't make much of a difference. In this particular instance, she's right, but you know what? Even if she were wrong this is inexcusable.

"I disapprove of what you say but will defend to the death your right to say it." Evelyn Hall (1906), paraphrasing Voltaire

France produced Voltaire. It also produced Marat and Robespierre. Voltaire didn't solve anything. The other two did. Lest the Muslim clergy get too confident here it may want to review what happened to another clerical class circa 1789. Just a thought.

The entire world better get it’s collective ‘merde’ together and decide to wipe out Islamonazis before it gets too late.

Mlle. BB is just another example of how bizarre this world is getting today.

When will liberal women’s groups and animal rights activists start going after Muslims?

As another FRper put it:

“It’s pretty sad when the Islamofacists get the sh#t-scared infidels to do their dirty work for them.”

All Americans must realize - for all their hubris and claims to enlightenment, Europe is once again making another swing to totalitarianism, led by the elites. It’s not the Nazi’s, but the will come in a different form of EU bureaucracy, political correctness, and forced multiculturalism. It is part of the European fabric of life.

Our northern neighbor is closer to Europe than to us. Look at their "human rights" kangaroo court that is trying to get Mark Styen.

Muslims traditionally mark Eid al-Adha by slaughtering a sheep or another animal to commemorate the prophet Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son on God's orders.

Sounds like Allah is nutz.

guess old frenchies don’t have the right to free speech...

No but they sure found time to put this garbage in their constitution:

The French have become an abomination! They started with Liberte Egalite Fraternite and ended up prosecuting an old woman for warning them about the future.

"I am fed up with being under the thumb of this population which is destroying us, destroying our country and imposing its acts," the star of 'And God created woman' and 'Contempt' said.

Bardot has previously said France is being invaded by sheep-slaughtering Muslims and published a book attacking gays, immigrants and the unemployed, in which she also lamented the "Islamisation of France."

- - - - - - -

I don't detect any slur in her speech there ...

:)

"Shame on France for allowing this miscarriage of justice!"

I agree! You would think that France would take a more solicitous approach to Ms.Bardot, after all she is 73 and in her time was a true French icon. On top of all that, she is telling the unvarnished truth!

Time gets the last word in. Time is a mocker. Nevertheless she’s covering herself with glory in her later years with her courageous and I mean COURAGEOUS stand on the Muslim threat. She has more balls than almost anybody I’ve ever heard of these days (and I never thought I would ever be using that phrase for Brigette Bardot).
