Honor roll for April 4, 2008: VictoryNY; Plea Deal; Fraxinus; Tom the Redhunter; Cindy_True_Supporter; Eaglesnest1; Rongkirby; American_Awesomeness; Jimmy Valentine's brother; Satin_Patriot; kristinn; Lurker Bill, a friend of Satin_Patriot,two lovely lurkers, two friends of VictoryNY and Chief from GOE.
It was back to normal outside the main gate to Walter Reed Army Medical Center after the previous week's 3 year anniversary observation. Though we were down a few people, the demonstration of support for our troops was undiminished:

Satin_Patriot at the main gate.

No MOAB needed when VictoryNY is there to cheer our troops!

VictoryNY and friends.

Chief

Lurker Bill in mid-wave at passing car.

Tom the Redhunter at the corner formerly held by the commies.

Family of a wounded warrior and Satin_Patriot.

Rongkirby greets a Walter Reed bus that shuttles wounded warriors.

The Fran O'Brien's bus returns. The driver turns the interior lights on so we can see each other as we wave and cheer.
While the evening was low-key, it was not without its moments that make the time spent outside the main gate well worth it.
In addition to the family of a wounded warrior that stopped and spoke with us, a wounded warrior walking back to the hospital stopped and shook our hands. he expressed his thanks to us for being out there on Friday nights and how much it means to the soldiers inside. We of course thanked him for his service and sacrifice.
He was glad to hear that we were going to be on Capitol Hill the following week to support Gen. Petraeus and oppose Code Pink. He told us the guys inside can't stand Code Pink.
Speaking of the moonbats, here's the obligatory photo of them from that night:

As usual, a lot more signs than pinkos to hold them.

My apologies for the delay in posting this report. I'll go stand in the corner and wait until I'm told to come out.
Thanks to PleaDeal for the great pics.
Finally.....
;*)
You guys rock. I would love to hear Victory N.Y. cheering.
Opinions on DAV?
We'll see if BillF can provide a sound bite now that the weather is starting to warm up. The cold really punishes BillF so he's given leave during the short daylight months.
D.C. Chapter Master Ping List
Kristinn has got caught up after spending most of last week in D.C. Thanks for keeping the Democtitters occupied while Gen. Petraeus talks.

Bump...and stay in the corner.
Now, how about that audience with His Holiness?
Any luck there?
I doubt it since FR is a 'hate' group. Maybe we can argue that we are once again a resource for Drudge.
[Mr] T
He was how I found FR oh so many years ago.

Good job, everyone. And remember, buy carbon credits for your activities, just in case Bush does come out with a Global Warming plan.
Good job, Kristinn! I know the corner you’re standing in must be warmer than any of them up here - BBBRRRRR! It got cold again...
I will be at a work-related activity this coming Friday. If it finishes early, I will be by, weather permitting.
When I see the faces of the family I am, again, evermore grateful for what you do.
Again, I would much rather run into you in this situation and know I had found sanctuary.
