I searched and could not find this posted. Seems the DNC has decided to file suit as of this morning.
The Democratic National Committee announced today it will file a lawsuit in U.S. District Court Monday to force Sen. John McCain to stay in the public financing system until he formally accepts the Republican presidential nomination in September.
Dems., Seeking to Hamstring McCain, to File Public Financing Suit

I don’t get it. Didn’t he already say he WOULD accept public financing? What am I missing here?
Both he and Baraq vowed to stick with public financing, but I think he said he will leave open the option to drop that if Baraq does first.
I have no idea what those idiots are up to at the DNC though.
George Soros’ Operation Chaos?
Note that Obama has recently been trying to redefine public financing: using the internet to solicit donations from citizens would fall under Obama's definition of "public financing". Such a redefinition serves Obama well, but not McCain -- which then makes it more likely for McCain to "flip flop" and abandon his pledge to stick with public financing.
Is this getting personal, doesn’t DNC mean Howie Dean? Guess he wants to get down in the mud with lord McCain.

McCain has accepted public financing for the general election, that is after the Republican convention.
He is now not in that system.
As I understand it, McCain was not going to use public financing in the primary, but has said he will do so for the general. The problem is when his campaign was down and out that he used his right to public financing as collateral against a loan, obligating him to use public financing for the primaries, also. Then he won a few primaries and his fundraising increased, and he decided he didn’t want to use public financing for the primary. If he is forced to use public financing, he will have virtually no money to spend until after the Pubbie convention. That is, ironically, the law under McCain-Feingold CFR. Talk about being hoisted on your own petard.
Not that Obama is an honorable man keeping to his word, either. Obama said he would use public financing for the general if his opponent did. That’s when his fundraising wasn’t going so well. Now he’s raising a ton of money and is trying to renege on that deal.
He accepted public financing in the primaries, not for the general election.
A LOT of Dems are frightened that thier current trainwreck is diverting attention from the REAL cause, Destroying McCain. And they are right...
Oh, of course the rats always keep their word!
Thanks. Very similar post. Any opinion on whether I should have this post pulled?
No. It’s important stuff. Leave it up, by all means....
“Baraq”
LOL!!!
From your mouth to God’s ear, let it be true, please!
The Democrats know they're in real trouble this election.
Please don’t spell it Baraq. While the transliteration from the Arabic is inexact, the spelling “Barack” is generally accepted and most closely resembles the proper Arabic pronunciation. And it is a matter of respect. Barack, you see, was the name of the prophet Mohammed’s magical winged horse, with the breasts of a woman and the tail of a peacock, who took the prophet for his evening’s visit to Paradise and back. Gotta respect the prophet’s horse.
Seriously, in all the hoo-hah over a radio talk-show host’s emphasis on Obama’s middle name Hussein, the origin and symbolism of his first name has gone totally unremarked. “Hussein” (and other variations of the H-S-N trilateral root) merely infers that one is a Muslim, but there’s something very special and symbolic to be named for the steed who magically conveyed the prophet to Paradise.
