And the “famine” deaths to “Russians” outside of Ukraine were primarily Ukrainians and other exiled groups who refused to be Russified.
Finally, after killing as many Ukrainians as possible, they were replaced with Russians - genocide and ethnic cleansing.

the communists also targeted amish, mennonite and other fundamentalist german colonists from 1921 to 1939.
Approx 1 million were victims of genocide and thousands of their starvation letters made it back to germany and helped give rise to Hitler.
